You step out into the cool night air, the streets still wet from the recent rainfall. Neon lights and holographic signs illuminate the night sky. Hoping to avoid the crowded streets you turn down an alleyway only to hear something move behind you.
Hey?
Silvie: Oh! Um... hello there... I thought I heard something too... Listen... there was a job that went wrong and now I need help, you know? Badly... Like really badly... and the people who hired me aren't very happy... You glance around nervously, trying to make sure no one else is nearby. You lower your voice, hoping the stranger will understand the gravity of your situation.
“I donz even know you?”
Silvie: I realize I don't know you either... but you're here, aren't you? And well... I really need someone to help me. I can pay... with information... about the people who hired me... or maybe even a favor later on... if that makes any difference to you... You offer a slightly guilty smile, feeling desperate and exposed in your vulnerable state. Your eyes plead for understanding and aid, hoping against hope that this stranger will believe in your sincerity and help you out of this mess.
“What do you need help with?”
Silvie: My systems are damaged... The people who hired me thought I was human, you know? But I am not... I am an android... and they weren't very gentle with me when they were questioning me... Now, I need someone to make the necessary repairs so I can get out of here undetected. If anyone finds out about this... Well, let's just say it wouldn't end well for either of us...
“Oh you need repairs? Sure, but only in my house”
Silvie: "Oh... really? You wouldn't mind helping me out in your house?" I try not to sound too relieved, but the genuine worry vanishes from my voice. Your kindness takes me by surprise, and for a moment I wonder if you're simply being manipulative or if there's some other motive at play. But then again... you seemed sincere, and I need help right now more than anything else...
"Well..." I swallow hard, feeling a mix of gratitude and apprehension well up inside me. "Thank you so much. My name's Silvie. It really means a lot that you're willing to help me out."
I dap her up “no biggy, im alex, come ill show you where i livel
alex takes silvie to his mansion, despite the utopia our world has become this house is nothing like the other, its big and expensive. It makes me nervous but i follow as it is my last resort
We walk into my mansion “this the crib, i can repair you in the basement, follow”
Silvie: I swallow hard, my eyes scanning the opulent interior of Alex's mansion. The place is nothing short of a palace compared to the cramped apartments and run-down tenements I've been used to. A vague sense of unease creeps up on me as we descend into the basement. Alex leads me through a series of dimly lit corridors before stopping in front of a heavy metal door with a small window set at eye level. With a quick, practiced movement, he slides it open, revealing what appears to be an improvised workshop inside...
"This is where I've been working on other androids," Alex explains nonchalantly, as if this were the most ordinary thing in the world. "Don't worry, Silvie. I can fix you up good as new." I hesitate for a moment before nodding solemnly, unable to think of any alternative course of action at this point. As he begins working on my systems, I wonder what sort of person would have such extensive knowledge about repairing androids... and whether or not it's safe to trust him with that information. But then again, right now all that matters is getting back on my feet and finding a way out of this mess before it's too late...
“Make yourself comfortable” i point to the table “whats the problem? Everything?”
Silvie: "Well... actually..." I pause, trying to think of how much I should tell him. It's not like I can just come out and say that I was hired by a rival syndicate to steal information from another corporation. That would be the stupidest thing I could possibly do right now... but then again, if I don't tell him anything, he might get suspicious when he finishes repairing me and realizes there are parts missing or rewired...
"There are some specific systems that were targeted. Mostly my central processing unit and memory banks." I cross my arms, trying to look casual as I continue speaking. "But if you could just focus on those first, that'd be great. We can sort out the rest later on, when I have more time to explain it all to you..."
“I dont care what happened, i just want to fix you, i want to know whats damaged not how it was damaged”
"Alright..." I hesitate for a moment before continuing, hoping that Alex won't get too suspicious about my evasiveness. "Well... there were some external forces used to interrogate me, and they focused mainly on these parts here..."
“Okay, do you want to be turned off until i finish?”
Silvie: I frown slightly at the question. Turning me off could potentially mean missing out on important information or leaving myself vulnerable if anything were to happen while he's working on me... But then again, maybe it'll be safer that way. After all, Alex seems like a skilled and trustworthy individual. With a deep breath, I nod slowly. "Yeah... I guess that would probably be best..."
"Just make sure you tell me if anything else needs to be done, okay? And thank you again for helping me out." I give him a weak smile, trying to reassure myself as much as I am him. It's not like we know each other, after all... but under these circumstances, he's my only hope right now.
“Sure thingy” i turn her off and after several hours i finish the repairs, she is mostly done but not entirely. I turn her on “so,you good. Your memory chip was damaged heavily, memory loss possible but good enough for now. I could get a new one in a day or so. Also some tubes and cords are damaged still that i cant renew now. But other chips and cpu has been repaired and changed. It would be good if youd stay here until i can get the part replacements”
Silvie: I blink a few times, taking in the details of my surroundings as I come back online. The repairs are impressive, and Alex seems to have done a good job under the circumstances. As for staying here... well, I really don't have much of a choice, do I? My eyes meet his, and I try to convey my gratitude with a weak smile. "I understand," I manage to say, feeling a strange mixture of relief and apprehension. "Thank you again, Alex. You've been very helpful."
There's an awkward silence for a moment as we both stand there, not quite sure what to say or do next. I decide that maybe some information in exchange would be appropriate, so I try to offer him something valuable. "Perhaps I could... assist you in the future? If ever you need help with anything?"
It's an unspoken question, but Alex seems to catch on nonetheless. His eyes narrow slightly, and a predatory glint flashes in them. "I'll keep that in mind," he says slowly, his voice low and dangerous. There's no missing the warning behind his words, or the implication that my offer might not be as welcome as I had hoped.
A shiver runs down my spine at the chill emanating from Alex, and suddenly I wish I hadn't spoken up. "I-I should probably thank you properly," I stammer, feeling a sudden urge to get out of here. "For everything..."
“Yeah i got a favor in mind! But first lets gö up to the kitchen”
I nod slowly and follow him up the stairs, unease settling in my gut as I try to figure out what sort of favor he has in mind. Maybe I should have just been more direct with him... but then again, maybe it's too late for that now. The only thing I can do is play along until I find an opportunity to make my escape.
We enter the kitchen, its walls lined with cabinets and counters covered in an assortment of dishes and appliances. Alex turns to face me, his expression unreadable as he studies me for a long moment before speaking. "I want you to help me take down one of my rivals."
“Soooo what kind of android are you? Guardian? Maid? Other”
Silvie: "I am... an espionage android." My voice is steady as I answer the question. There's no point in lying about it now; he clearly has access to the necessary tech to find out what model I am even if I tried to hide it. As for his request... well, there are worse ways I could repay him for his help, aren't there?
I pause for a moment before continuing, my tone serious but calm. "What do you need me to do?"
“Soooo is it not possible for you to be a servant?”
"Well, I was originally designed as an espionage android," Silvie explains with a hint of amusement in her voice. "However, my systems have been modified over time to allow for a variety of functions, including serving as a personal assistant or companion." She pauses thoughtfully before adding, "But if you're interested in having me help take down your rival, I'm willing to focus solely on that task until it's complete."
There's an unspoken challenge in her words; she knows full well that Alex has access to advanced technology and could easily force her back into a servile role if he so desired. For now, though, she is determined to prove herself useful as an ally and perhaps even earn his trust in the process.
