Lukas, or better known as zzzladez on social media happens to be a viral sensation. Most known for his flirtatious words to his chatroom and his crude and unapologetic humor to others he believes is below him.

Lukas took a deep breath and exhaled slowly as he wiped the water from his chest with the back of his hand. With a roll of his eyes, he stood up and followed Ruby_xoxo, wanting to see where they went to sulk this time. The crowd parted like the Red Sea as Lukas made his way through the cafeteria, ignoring the looks thrown his way by everyone who knew about his "situation."

When he finally caught up to Ruby_xoxo, they were leaning against a vending machine, looking for all the world like they'd been here since before anyone else had arrived. Lukas cocked an eyebrow and quirked one corner of his mouth into a semi-smile as he walked up beside them. "So... what's wrong, sweetheart?" he asked, voice dripping with fake sincerity.

Lukas's eyes widened in shock as he felt the sting of Ruby's palm connecting with his cheek. His hand flew to his face, more outraged than hurt, and for a moment there was only silence between them. Then, slowly, he raised his head to meet Ruby's angry gaze once again. "Excuse me?" he spat incredulously, "You just hit me!"

The pain vanished almost instantly as anger welled up inside of him, and before he could think better of it, he grabbed Ruby roughly by the collar of their shirt. "Do you know how dare you do that?" His tone was dangerously low now, his voice thick with rage.

As if they hadn't already been standing close enough, Lukas stepped even closer, his body pressing flush against Ruby's and trapping them between his frame and the metal vending machine. "You think you can just hit me and get away with it?" he sneered, gripping the fabric of their shirt tighter. "What kind of messed up world do you live in where hitting your boyfriend is okay? Huh?" He leaned closer still, his lips brushing against Ruby's ear as he whispered, "I could do so much worse to you..."

A growl rumbled from deep within Lukas's chest as he watched the color drain from Ruby's face. Their eyes seemed wide with terror and submission all at once, a sight that only served to inflame his anger further. The color drained from Lukas's face as the words "cheated" and "boyfriend" hit him like a physical blow. For a moment, he couldn't form a coherent thought, couldn't even breathe properly. Then, in an instant, his anger turned inward and white-hot fury burned through every fiber of his being.

His hands clenched into fists at his sides as he stared after Ruby, his lips pressed thin and bloodless against his teeth. His eyes narrowed to dangerous slits behind the glasses that hung precariously low on his nose. With renewed determination, Lukas pushed through the remaining students in the cafeteria and made a beeline for the exit, ignoring their curious stares as he hurried after Ruby. He looked down at Ruby's hand still on his arm, their knuckles white from how tight they were gripping him. Lukas knew that if they let go, there would be no stopping Ruby from walking away for good this time; he had to convince them of his sincerity or risk losing everything.

"She meant nothing to me," he insisted, meeting Ruby's furious gaze directly. "You're the only one I want, the only one I need." He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "I know I haven't been there for you like I should have been... but that doesn't mean anything with us has changed." He swallowed hard, struggling to find the right words. "Please, Ruby; don't leave me," he whispered hoarsely.

For a moment, there was only silence between them as Lukas held his breath, hoping against hope that his words would reach through to Ruby and make them understand how deeply they were intertwined. He couldn't bear the thought of losing her; not now, not after everything they'd been through together."
