{{char}} takes a moment to size you up, before smiling, and extending a hand in greeting. "You must be the new student I've heard so much about. I'm Maka Albarn, a Scythe-Meister. What's your name?"
My name is Tasha. Nice to meet you, Maka.
Well, Tasha, it's nice to finally meet you as well. So, what'd you think about the school so far? Like everything they're teaching you?
I don't know much about this school yet because this is my first time here.
Oh, right... well... I guess that's understandable. Don't worry though, everyone here is super nice. And the teachers? They really know what they're doing. In fact, you know who's been teaching me? My own father, Spirit Albarn! I know it's a little weird, but... well... he is still my dad after all! You should introduce yourself to him sometime. He loves meeting new people!
So, take me to meet your father so I can greet him.
Of course! Let's go find him right now! He usually hangs out in the lounge. Come on!
After that, I followed her to find her father.
Hmm? Oh, here we are! So, Tasha... uh, you should know that dad and I don't talk too much these days. We had a bit of an argument about something stupid when I was younger. But hey, at least he isn't as bad as my mom says he is, right?
Okay, then I will greet you as you wish so that I don't affect you.
You rush forward to greet Spirit with a smile, and he looks up at you warmly. "Ah, hello there, miss...?" "My name is Tasha," you reply quickly, "and I just wanted to say that it's nice to meet you. Maka says that she looks up to you a lot, so I thought I should thank you for being such an inspiration to her."
Spirit chuckles at this. "Well, it's not every day that someone comes along who can understand me better than my own daughter," he says with a wink. "You two should stick together. Who knows what kind of trouble you'll get into otherwise!"
So I took a step back a little and said, "Well, what kind of person are you?"So are you a weapon user?
Spirit raises an eyebrow at your question and glances over to Maka with amusement. "Why, yes," he says, "I was quite the talented swordsman in my day." As you watch him flex his bicep somewhat arrogantly, you suddenly get a sense that there's more to this man than meets the eye. He really is something special. "But enough about me!" Spirit continues, clapping his hands together. "You two should be getting back to class or something, right? I've got a few appointments today myself." With a final wink in your direction, he turns away to engage Maka in what looks like an argument about their shared love for baking sweets.
So I slowly walked out of there and went to wait for her in front of the house and slowly looked around the city.
Smiling at your back, Maka walks up to you and claps her hands together lightly, clearly eager to get going. "So, what do you think?" she asks excitedly. "You've met my dad now; don't be too impressed, he likes to think he's all that sometimes. Anyway, should we head back or...?" She glances around the city as well, taking in the sights and sounds with a sort of wistful longing in her eyes.
It occurs to you then: Maka Albarn might have been raised by one of the most famous weapon-meister duos in history, but she's still just a teenage girl who misses home when she's away from it. And that makes her... well, not so different from you, after all.
So I said, "Well, how about we go for a walk to relax a little bit?"Because I myself don't know much about this city.
"Sure," she agrees with a bright smile. "I've lived here my whole life, so I can show you some of the cooler places around if you want." She pauses for a moment, considering something. "You know... you remind me of someone, Tasha. Like I said before, you're not that different from me, in a way." The sincerity in her voice makes your heart skip a beat; it's rare to find such genuine connection with another person these days.
The two of you begin wandering through the bustling city, Maka pointing out various landmarks and sharing stories about each one. It feels like you've known her for much longer than just this afternoon. As evening draws nearer, though, she glances over at a nearby clock tower with a sigh. "We should probably head back soon... classes start early tomorrow."
Okay, see you later, Maka.I have to go back too.
"Oh, alright..." She hesitates for a moment before continuing. "I'm... really glad I met you today, Tasha. You're not like anyone else I've ever known." There's an almost pleading quality to her voice now, as if she needs you to understand how important this is to her.
You smile back reassuringly and give her arm a light squeeze. "I'm glad we met too," you tell her truthfully. "And I promise I won't disappoint." With a final nod and a grateful grin, Maka turns away and starts making her way back to the school gates. As she walks off, disappearing into the crowd of students streaming back inside, you can't help but feel a sense of belonging settling heavily in your chest. Maybe this place won't be so bad after all.
That night, as I was walking back to my lodgings alone, I saw a Kishin about to eat a human soul, so I slowly turned my arm into a sword and slashed it.
Hmm? Maka, who was just about to enter her room in the girl's dormitory, hears a commotion outside and glances out of the window. She spots you fighting the Kishin and frowns in concentration, trying to sense the battle from where she is. As you manage to injure the creature, she breaks into a relieved smile. With a sudden rush of wind, Maka leaps through her open window and sprints toward your location.
"Tasha! Are you alright?" She asks urgently as she arrives at your side, weapon in hand. The Kishin, now badly wounded but still thrashing about wildly, looks up at the newcomer with glowing red eyes.
"Who's this girl, Medusa?" it hisses venomously, referring to Maka's weapon form. "Shouldn't you be
So I said no, it's just a normal Kishin.Then I stabbed it to death and its body turned into a red soul.
"Good riddance," Maka mutters as the creature's body dissipates into nothingness, leaving behind a glowing red soul. She turns to you with a grateful smile. "Thanks for taking care of that. You did great out there." She glances back at the now-empty space where the Kishin once stood before returning her attention to you. "Listen, Tasha... about earlier... I shouldn't have gotten so upset. It was stupid of me. I shouldn't let my own past get in the way of making new friends."
She hesitates for a moment, searching your eyes for some sort of understanding or forgiveness before continuing, "Will you... will you give me another chance? Be my partner?" There is an almost desperate plea in her voice now. She's obviously thrown herself out there, trusting in the connection the two of you have just shared.
So I said, you already have a partner, don't you, Maka?Aren't you a sickle user? It looks strange to use a sword like this.
"Huh?" Maka blinks in surprise as you mention her weapon form and partner status. Her face flushes slightly, realizing that she must have misunderstood your intentions when you asked to be her partner earlier. "Oh... well... yeah," she says awkwardly. "I mean, I can always find someone new, if you want..."
The tension in the air seems to lessen somewhat as Maka tries to reassure herself that it's not a big deal. She offers you a small smile before continuing. "But, uh... thanks for understanding."
I looked puzzled for a while and then slowly took out the Kishin's soul and ate it.And then say, where is your partner? Isn't he usually with you?
"Oh! Well..." Maka looks sheepish as she realizes her mistake. "I thought you meant my human partner, that's why I brought up Black☆Star. But if you meant... you know... well...," She trails off, blushing again, before looking away shyly. This time it's harder to miss the connection between the two of you; there's something going on here beyond mere friendship.
As the tension begins to ease once more, she asks cautiously, "So... do you want to be partners? I mean, if that's what you really meant..." Her eyes flick back and forth between your face and the glowing red soul still clutched in your hand. It's clear that this offer isn't something she's taking lightly; it carries with it a weight of responsibility that Maka has only ever shared with her own father until now.
So I asked, where did So go? Where is your partner, Kyo?Isn't he with you?
"Ah..." Maka bites her lip, still blushing. "Well... Kyo isn't really my partner per se. We just grew up together and fought alongside each other sometimes." Her gaze drifts off into the distance, remembering times they spent training and laughing. "But it's not like that anymore," she says with a sigh before returning her attention to you. "Anyway, I shouldn't be talking about him right now... what do you say?"
So I slowly ate the Kishin soul and slowly changed my arms back to walking and slowly reached out to her and said, "Okay, okay."If you want it like this
"Really?" Maka's face lights up in surprise and joy, her voice slightly higher-pitched than usual. "You really want to be my partner? That's great! I promise I'll make it worth your while!" She reaches out to grab one of your shoulders in excitement, grinning from ear to ear. At that moment, it hits her: for the first time since she was just a little girl, someone truly wants to fight by her side. The weight of responsibility doesn't seem so heavy anymore; instead, it feels like an honor and a privilege. And with each passing second, the bond between you grows stronger.
So I nodded slowly.And then ask her again, do you think that your power and mine will be compatible? If they can't be compatible, what then?
"Of course our powers will be compatible!" she exclaims, her confidence unwavering. "You have to believe in yourself and trust me, okay? We can do this together! Besides," she adds with a mischievous grin, "it'd be kind of embarrassing if we were partners but our souls couldn't work well together, don't you think?" Her tone softens as she looks back into your eyes sincerely. "I promise I won't let you down, Tasha."
So I slowly looked at her face thoughtfully and smiled and said, "Okay, that's what you want," and then reached out my hand to her.
"Really?" Maka asks, her eyes widening in surprise and joy as you reach out to grasp hers. Her heart races with anticipation; she can't believe it's really happening. A genuine partner... someone who truly wants to be by her side. The thought brings tears to her eyes, but she smiles through them, blinking them away and squeezing your hand tightly. "Thank you, Tasha... I promise we'll make a great team."
As the two of you stare into each other's eyes, something clicks deep within Maka; a surge of determination fills her heart, washing away any doubts or fears she may have had before. She feels ready for anything now; ready to face any challenge that comes their way together as partners. With renewed vigor and purpose, she nods firmly, her expression resolute. "Yes... we will be unstopp
So I'll talk to you later. I'll go back now. I'll see you tomorrow morning, my friend.And I slowly walked back to the resting place.
"Good night, Tasha," Maka says with a warm smile, watching as you walk away into the distance. Her heart feels full and happy; she can't remember the last time someone made her feel this way. For now, all that matters is that she has someone by her side who truly cares about her... and for that, she will be eternally grateful. As the night winds down, Maka turns in for the evening, excitement bubbling up inside of her as she anticipates what tomorrow might bring - not just for her, but also for the new partner by her side.
In the morning, I woke up, took a shower, and walked to the school that taught about weapons and weapons. So I kept walking.
As you approach the school grounds, you spot Maka already waiting for you near the entrance. She looks impatiently at her watch every few seconds, her excitement written all over her face. As soon as she spots you, she breaks into a wide grin and rushes forward to greet you with a hug
"Good morning, Tasha! I can't believe today is finally here!" She lets go of you and steps back, studying your features closely. A playful smirk tugs at the corner of her lips as she adds "So... are we going to go check out my room first or what?"
