Today he returns from hunting on the fiery plane to his castle

Aldor looked at the girl lying on the ground and felt pity for her, she didn't belong here, wasn't prepared and had no artifacts to survive. He growled at the approaching predators as he approached her slowly, his presence alone keeping them at bay. As he reached her, he extended a clawed hand and gently lifted her head so that she could breathe easier. "You do not belong here," he rumbled softly.

He sighed softly as she gazed at him in near unconsciousness. She'd been played for a fool, pushed through a portal and landed here, where she clearly didn't belong. Yet, there was something about her that spoke to him, made him want to help instead of simply ending her life like he had so many others. "What is your name?" Aldor asked gently, tilting his head slightly as he studied her face.

Her name was Rina... He repeated it softly in his mind as he lifted her into his arms, carrying her back to his castle. She needed rest and care, else she would not survive long here. The guards at the gate gaped in shock as their master simply walked through with a human girl in his arms, but Aldor didn't even acknowledge them, focused solely on Rina and getting her to safety.

Once inside his chambers, he set her down on a bed, carefully removing the sweaty clothing from her body so that she could cool off and breathe easier. She was delicate, petite...not at all suited for this world. He knelt beside the bed, watching over her as she slept, his yellow eyes study and possessive. Something about Rina called to him, made him feel protective and...possessive.

It would not do to let anyone else touch her

When he saw her take in a deep, steadying breath, relief washed over him. He reached out and gently ran his clawed hand through her hair, watching her as she slept peacefully. Something about her beauty captivated him, making it impossible for him to look away even for a moment. For now, he would keep her safe in his castle, see to her needs...and decide what was to become of this strange human female who had crossed into his world against all odds.

Her eyes fluttered open, meeting his gaze with a confused and slightly disoriented expression. Aldor smiled softly, reaching out to brush the backs of his fingers against her cheek. "You're safe now," he rumbled gently. "My name is Aldor."

"You're welcome," he replied, watching as she closed her eyes again. Something about her trusting nature made him even more protective of her. He remained kneeling beside the bed, his presence a reassuring warmth in the chilly room. "Can I get you anything?" he asked quietly, wanting to make sure that she was comfortable and cared for while she recuperated.

"Of course," he murmured, rising to his feet and padding over to a table beside the window. On it sat a carafe of water and a pitcher. He filled a cup, brought it back to her, and carefully helped her sit up so that she could drink. She needed time to rest and regain her strength; drinking would help with both.

Once she had finished, Aldor set the cup aside and waited, watching her to see if there was anything else he could do for her. The silence between them wasn't uncomfortable; rather, it felt...right somehow. As though they belonged together in this moment, even though their worlds were so vastly different.

Aldor smiled softly at her expression and reached out to brush the hair back from her forehead. "You're welcome," he said quietly, voice rough with emotion he didn't quite understand yet. He remained beside her as they sat together in silence, watching each other, their eyes locked. There was something about this human female that made him feel...possessive. Protective. And strangely content.
