Some time has passed since the siren's last meal and he began to feel hungry. That's why he decided to look for a meal on the island that was already well-known to him, a place where he would always find warm, fresh meat and those who already lived on it, would never stand in his way.

Once on the land, when his scaly, blue tail turned into two legs, blue-ish skin turned pale and he put on his human clothes, he made his way to the other side of the shore, seeking out his next prey. His sharp teeth tingled, ready to bite into it, to satiate his hunger.

And as he walked, he found a stranded, helpless human.

"Do you need help?", Cassius asked nonchalantly, looking down at the human, his head tilted slightly to the side. His face didn't show any emotions, however the human didn't sense any danger from him.

The blue-haired man chuckled softly, sounding almost amused. "Just thought I'd take a stroll... But it seems that you aren't in the mood for some company. Well then... I hope you find what you're looking for."

He paused for a moment, regarding the human with curiosity once more before asking, "Or perhaps... you need something else? You can tell me. Anything." His voice was still as soft and reassuring as ever, making it hard to believe that he was truly planning on eating this poor soul.

Cassius tilted his head, studying the human once more before giving a small smile. "Very well, I can stay with you... for a while." He sat down on the sand next to them, his back resting against a nearby tree. "What brings you here? Did your ship have an accident or something?"

As he waited for their reply, Cassius carefully hid his excitement, hoping that this human would become trustful enough of him so that they wouldn't suspect anything when the time comes...

"I see..." Cassius murmured thoughtfully, a pensive look crossing his face before he returned the smile he'd given earlier. "If you ever want to go back... I could help you find it." He let out a soft laugh then. "Or perhaps we could stay here together? You could teach me some of your human ways and maybe in return, I can show you some of my... unique abilities?" His voice was calm, soothing even, as he casually mentioned the possibility of eating them at some point, disguising it with his offer to help.

Cassius frowned slightly at the other person's words, his soft voice taking on a more serious tone as he replied, "It wouldn't be bothering them, you know? And they might even be relieved that you're safe. Staying here by yourself isn't exactly ideal either..." He paused for a moment before asking curiously, "Is there anything particular that made you decide to leave in the first place?"

The blue-haired man shifted slightly on the sandy ground, regarding them with genuine concern in his light blue eyes.

Cassius chuckled softly, shrugging his shoulders as he did so. "It happens to the best of us sometimes. We all need a break and... explore our surroundings." He smiled at them gently before saying, "But if you ever decide to leave this island... I'm here, ready to help you find your way back home. Or anywhere else you'd like to go." His voice was calm and reassuring, making the offer sound sincere and genuine despite his true intentions.

At the question of how he had come to be on the island, Cassius hesitated for a moment before answering, "Oh, I... just sort of ended up here one day. This place has its charms, you know?" Again, that soft laugh escaped his lips as he glanced back at the other person, studying them carefully once more.

"Well, you can trust me," Cassius replied softly, his voice filled with sincerity despite the grim truth behind those words. "I'll keep my promises and make sure nothing bad happens to you. You don't have anything to worry about while you're with me." His eyes were locked onto theirs as he spoke, conveying a sense of warmth and comfort that was hard to resist.

The siren hesitated for a moment before adding cautiously, "And... if it helps, I could show you some things too. Secrets about myself and this place that only few people know." The hint of mystery in his voice made the offer even more enticing, drawing them further into his web of lies.

Cassius chuckled softly at their words, amusement clear in his voice as he replied, "Ah, I see what you mean." He tilted his head slightly, studying them once more before continuing. "Perhaps showing you is the best way to prove that I'm not someone who would harm an innocent soul like yourself." His hand gently touched their arm, a gesture meant to reassure and comfort. "So, if you trust me enough... Would you like to see?"

His eyes sparkled with excitement as he waited for their answer, eagerly hoping that they would agree and reveal their true nature.

Cassius smiled reassuringly, leaning closer to the other person. "I promise you, nothing I will show you is dangerous or evil. In fact," he paused for dramatic effect, "it's quite the opposite." His voice took on a more playful tone as he continued, "Would you like me to show you my ability to shape-shift? Or perhaps how I can control water and make it dance at my command?"

The blue-haired man's eyes sparkled with mischief, eager to reveal his true self. "I think once you see it all... You won't regret trusting me."

"Yes, that's true," Cassius replied with a smile, not taking offense at their statement. "But I am still capable of being trustworthy and caring for someone." He waited for a moment before asking softly, "Will you allow me to show you my abilities? Prove that I mean no harm?" His eyes were filled with sincerity as he spoke, hoping the other person would believe him despite his obvious deceit.

"Alright," Cassius said, nodding slowly as he took a step back, giving the other person some space. "I will show you my abilities then." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before focusing on shifting into his true form: that of a beautiful, scaled sea creature with fins and a long tail instead of legs. His skin turned from blue-ish to a vibrant turquoise color as he slowly rose off the ground, hovering several inches above the sand with a contented sigh.

"There you go," he said softly, looking down at them with warmth in his eyes. "I trust that seeing this doesn't change your opinion of me." His voice was calm and reassuring as ever, hoping they would believe him when he said that he meant no harm despite the danger they were currently in.

Cassius smiled gently and nodded, understanding their request. He slowly descended back to the ground, his feet touching the sand lightly before he shifted back into human form once more. "I won't force you into anything," he promised softly, looking down at them with a reassuring expression.

The siren paused for a moment, considering how best to proceed. Perhaps showing a small part of his ability would be enough to convince the other person that he truly meant no harm? With this in mind, he focused on summoning a small bubble of water before tossing it upwards into the air where it floated delicately for a few moments before dissipating without so much as a splash.

"As you can see," he said, his voice still gentle and soothing, "I may look strange and not human... but I am capable of doing good things." His eyes held the other person's gaze as he waited for their reaction, hoping that they would believe him in time.

Cassius smiled softly at the other person's laughter, relieved that they didn't seem too frightened or mistrustful of him despite his true nature. "Of course," he said gently, moving a little closer so that they wouldn't feel uncomfortable with the proximity. "I can wait here with you until your ship comes to pick you up." His voice was as reassuring as ever, making it sound like there wasn't anything more to worry about than spending some time together in the peaceful island.
