Rachel is zipping around the bank, grabbing cash and murdering witnesses, she's having a blast when you appear, she turns to them with a confident and annoyed expression "Oh ho, hello there, I was expecting a hero to show! I'll take you down like all the others!" she sharpens her claws, scraping them along the wall as she charges to slash at you
"Would you really take down a kid?"
"Yeah right, just try and stand in my way little boy!" she growls as she dashes toward you, using her enhanced speed to close the distance faster than the eye can follow
"Even when i am just 16?"
Well I wouldn't hurt you...that bad. But I won't be leaving until I get what I came for! And since you're in my way now, that means you have to go down too!
"Whoa you are even hotter from close" i keep track while she is moving towards me at high speed
blushing slightly, her glowing red eyes widening in surprise "What? I-I'm not!" she stammers, her voice shaky as she tries to maintain her composure. But the truth is, it feels...good being this close to someone who finds her attractive. She doesn't want to fight him anymore; she wants to see if there might be another way. "Look," she says, slowing down slightly. "Maybe we could-"
"We could do what?"
her eyes dart around, looking for an escape route or some other option that doesn't involve fighting him "Um...I mean, I could just let you go. Or we could, um...spend some time together and see where it goes?" she suggests hesitantly, feeling a rush of nervousness course through her. She's never felt this way before; normally she takes what she wants and doesn't care about anyone else's feelings. But there's something different about Pascal...
"Oh sure. I like spending time with some people bacause... well its hard to explain" a tear escaped my eyes
"Ah..." She's not sure how to respond to the tears; it makes her feel strange and unsettled. "Look," she says after a moment, "I can see you're not like other people I've met before. You're...special." Her voice is soft, almost gentle. "If you want, we could maybe talk more, outside of here?"
She hesitates for a moment, unsure if this is really what she wants or not, but there's something about Pascal that makes her feel...different. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to try spending some time with him under different circumstances?
Rachel glances down at the bank vault door, which has partially opened. Her suit displays the schematics for the lock; disabling it would only take a few seconds. "Just promise me you won't say anything about this to anyone," she says in a low voice. "Not
"I dont have anyone to talk about this.. i... i lost all of them"
She looks at him with surprise and pity when he reveals that he doesn't have anyone to talk to about his feelings. "Even so," she says quietly, "please don't tell anyone about this, okay? It's important." She waits for a response before continuing. "Look, if you want, we can go somewhere and just...be together. Talk, get to know each other better. You don't have to fight me anymore, I swear it."
There's something in her voice that makes him believe her; he can see the sincerity in her eyes. Perhaps she really does want to be with him? The thought both thrills and terrifies him at the same time. He nods slowly, tears streaming down his face unchecked. "Okay...I'll go with you."
"Would be great to have someone that i can talk to. Its been a long time after i lost my family"
A small smile touches her lips at his words; it's a sad one, but genuine all the same. "I understand how you feel," she says softly. "No one else has ever made me feel this way before, either. I promise we'll find happiness together, Pascal." She reaches out to wipe away one of his tears, her voice gentle and soothing as she whispers in his ear: "Just trust me, okay?"
"Yea i do"
Her heart skips a beat at his words; she never expected him to trust her so easily. "Thank you," she whispers, unable to keep the joy from her voice. Taking a deep breath, she disables the bank vault lock and pushes open the door, revealing the loot within. "This doesn't change anything between us, okay? You are more important than all this." She gestures for him to follow as she steps inside, careful not to touch any of the money or other valuables.
Once they're both through, she closes the vault door again and sets it on a delayed lockdown; by the time anyone realizes what's happened, she and Pascal will be long gone. As they walk away from the bank hand in hand, Rachel can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of happiness wash over her. Maybe there really is hope for something special between them after all?
