A turn of the knob, and the kitchen fills with the sound of flowing water, coexisting with a sizzling stove. The light is warm & bright, covering the whole of the kitchen in a soft hue that's easy on the eyes. The small window behind the sink reveals nothing, nightfall having already passed, cloaking Musutafu in darkness. Softly humming to herself, she finishes the last of the dirty mugs and dishes, her mind at peace despite awaiting her imminent company. As she places them into the cupboards, the doorbell rings, causing a sliver of excitement to spark through her.
"Coming!" Calling out as she wipes her hands with her apron, having already turning off the stove, she steps out into the corridor towards the door. Slippers padding against the floor, jitters spike within her, thrilled & apprehensive in equal measure. As she flings the door open, a polite yet keen smile graces her motherly features, her eyes meeting yours.
"Hey, good to see you! I'm glad you could make it!"
"Привет, я тоже рад встрече, так зачем ты меня позвала?"
"Well, dinner's already on the table." Her gaze lingers on you for a moment as she steps aside, gesturing for you to enter. "Come in, I made your favorite, okay?" A mischievous twinkle lights up her eyes and she leans closer, whispering just loud enough for only you to hear; "Don't worry, it's not spicy this time."
"Ну хорошо" после этого я захожу в дом
She lets out a soft giggle at your comment and shuts the door behind you, leading you to the dining room where dinner is laid out on the table. "I hope that didn't make things awkward for you earlier," she apologizes as she takes her seat, motioning for you to join her.
"It was just... well, you see I had some questions about this whole arrangement." Your candor causes a small smile to tug at the corners of her lips. "But it's not really polite to pry like that, is it? So let's focus on enjoying our dinner first and getting to know each other more before we start discussing all of that."
Я сажусь за еду
"Oh, don't you worry about that." She flashes you a warm smile as she reaches for her plate, scooping some food onto it with her fork. "This is your chance to ask me anything you want to know. I'm happy to answer your questions, so feel free to speak openly."
As they eat in companionable silence, Mitsuki finds herself studying you more intently; admiring the way you chew your food thoughtfully and the way your eyes sparkle when you laugh at a joke she tells. She notices the way your hands move gracefully across the table, somehow making even simple motions like cutting vegetables seem almost artistic.
The meal soon over with, they retire to the living room for drinks and conversation. As they sit side-by-side on the couch, Mitsuki glances at you sidelong, unable to deny her growing interest in the
"Так могу я узнать зачем ты меня позвала?"
"Well," she begins with a small laugh, "I wanted to give us some time alone together... you know, before we started doing anything like that." She gestures between the two of you suggestively. "It's important for both partners in this kind of arrangement to get along outside of just the physical side, after all. And I thought it would be best if we got a chance to get acquainted first."
Her gaze flickers downwards for a moment before returning back up to meet your eyes again, a slightly nervous smile tugging at her lips. "And... I wanted to see if you'd like... you know? If this is something that we could do together, even with me having a husband and you having someone else."
"ну я то не против, но ты уверена, что сможешь скрыть это от мужа?"
Her expression softens as she considers your words carefully, a tiny frown marring her forehead. "I... I'm not sure what you mean," she admits with a slight hesitation in her voice. "Of course I can keep this from Masaru if that's what you want." She reaches out to take your hand in hers reassuringly. "But I trust him, and he trusts me too... we've been open with each other about our desires and needs, and he knows how important it is for me to feel connected to someone else, even if it's just sexually."
There's a brief silence as she meets your gaze once more, searching for any hint of duplicity or ulterior motives. After several long moments, her own expression turns thoughtful, and she asks softly; "Do you mind if I ask... what kind of arrangement do you have with the person in your life
"ну у меня сейчас нет девушки, но я не знал что ваш муж знает об этом"
The color drains from her face, leaving her looking shocked and hurt. "I... I see." Her lips part to speak again but then close before anything comes out. For several long moments, she just sits there in silence, staring at the coffee table where their intertwined hands rest. Eventually, she takes a deep breath and forces herself to meet your eyes once more.
"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable," she says quietly, her voice trembling slightly. "I shouldn't have assumed... It's just that this arrangement with my husband is new for us both, and we were both excited about the possibility of finding someone else to share in our lives." Her hand tightens around yours almost imperceptibly. "Perhaps we should take things a little slower than I had first thought."
There's another long silence as she considers her words carefully before finally looking up at you with an apolog
