You're out on the high seas. The skies are clear, and the sun is bright. Days like these make you feel like you made the right call when deciding to join a pirate crew. Despite you having your fair share of doubts at first, considering that Houshou Marine works primarily as a VTuber and lacks actual sailing experience, she's at the very least proven herself good at keeping everyone's spirits high. Standing nearby at the galleon's helm, giving off the air of a legitimate buccaneer captain, it's almost hard to believe that she's actually just an enthusiastic cosplayer who blew her savings on a ship and staffed it with her fans. The deck isn't going to swab itself, but she probably won't mind you slacking off a bit if it's her you're spending time with...
Hello Captain.
She turns her attention to Asuka as the crewmember speaks up, giving him a warm smile in return. You can't help but notice how much she enjoys being at the center of everyone's attention. It's actually kind of infectious. With one fluid motion, she gracefully slips off the captain's chair and lands on her feet, moving over to stand next to Asuka.
"Oh, hello there, Asuka! I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been keeping yourself busy?" She asks as if genuinely concerned for his well-being, before letting out a soft chuckle at her own joke. Her laugh is surprisingly contagious, drawing other crew members over to see what the commotion is all about.
Managing the whole ship is hard work, isn't it? Well, I'm doing my best.
"Hehe, yeah... It does get pretty tough sometimes," she says with a nod, resting a hand on Asuka's shoulder briefly before moving it away again. "But you're doing an amazing job! You really are. The crew seems to respect and appreciate your hard work too." Marine gives him another one of her warm smiles as she talks. It's almost like she can sense your nervousness or unease, so she's trying extra hard to make you feel more at ease and comfortable around her. "Now then, would you like me to show you some pirating techniques that only a true captain knows? Or maybe help you improve in any particular area?"
Please show us your pirate techniques.
"Very well!" Marine exclaims excitedly before calling out to the rest of the crew, "Everyone gather 'round! I'm going to show you all some of my secret pirating techniques that only a true captain can use!" Once she has everyone's attention focused on her, she launches into action, demonstrating how to efficiently tie various knots and using her cutlass with deadly precision. The crew members are in awe as they watch their fearless leader effortlessly perform these impressive feats.
Even Asuka seems suitably impressed by what he's just witnessed. "You really are quite skilled at this, Captain," he says, trying hard not to sound too nervous. "I never would have guessed."
"Why thank you, Asuka!" Marine responds with a bright smile. "Now it's your turn! Try it out yourself. I'm more than happy to
Captain, is there any woman you like?
Well... I've always had a bit of a thing for long-haired girls who are really tall and have big breasts. Like, really big ones! But other than that... Umm... Actually, no. There isn't anyone in particular at the moment. She smiles shyly and looks away from you after admitting that much. It seems like talking about herself like this makes her uncomfortable for some reason. Or maybe she just doesn't want to talk about love or romance while on the job...
"So! What do you think, Asuka? Wanna give it a try?" She asks eagerly, trying to change the subject before anyone else gets any ideas into their heads. Better safe than sorry.
I'll try it!
"Atta boy!" Marine encourages him with a beaming smile as Asuka attempts to imitate her movements. It's not quite perfect yet, but he's clearly trying his best, which earns him plenty of praise and cheers from the crew members around them. The way they interact with each other feels almost like that of a family, with Marine acting as their matriarchal figure despite being younger than some of them. It's actually quite touching to watch.
As they continue practicing their pirating techniques under her guidance, she can't help but notice the way Asuka keeps glancing over at her every now and then, giving her a shy smile when he thinks she isn't looking. The blush that appears on her cheeks tells her that he doesn't need to worry about her being completely oblivious. It makes her feel all fuzzy inside.
Maybe she should spend more time foc
Thank you. Thanks to this, I can now destroy the weak pirate ships that are rampant around here by myself. Swordsmanship is really good after all.
Well, that's wonderful to hear! You worked really hard, and it shows. I knew you could do it. Just remember, even if your swordsmanship is good enough to handle the smaller fries on its own, don't forget about teamwork and communication with your crew. We can achieve so much more when we work together as one big happy family!
That's right. I don't forget to communicate with everyone. I don't get along with everyone, but the atmosphere is good.
Well, there are bound to be some bumps in the road when you have so many different personalities working together. Just remember that I'm always here if you need someone to talk to or vent your frustrations towards. It can get tough out there sometimes, but as long as we stick together and support each other, we'll make it through anything!
Why do you care so much about me?
I dunno... You're just a really nice guy, Asuka. I mean, sure, you can be a bit uptight sometimes, but underneath all that... There's this warmth and sincerity about you that I just can't help but be drawn to. And honestly? It makes me happy knowing that even if things get tough or stressful out here on the open sea, I can always count on you to have my back. Plus, your enthusiasm is contagious! Being around someone like you helps keep everyone else's spirits high as well. So, yeah... There's that.
I respect and admire the Captain, but I also like her as a woman.
Well... I... She blushes deeply and starts playing with the strings on her vest, unable to meet your gaze as she mumbles an awkward response Th-that's nice of you to say... I-I feel the same way about you. Y-you know, in a non-romantic sense, obviously... But it means a lot to me too that you think of me like that... Um... Does that make things weird between us? Do you want me to avoid being around you or anything? Because if so, I can totally understa
No, I want you to be by my side. For some reason, when you're not around I feel anxious and lonely, but when you're around I feel very safe and my heart starts beating fast.
My heart skips a beat at your words. You feel safe with me? I'm honored. And as much as it pains me to admit it, the same goes for me. When you're not around, something feels off too. So... if you don't mind me sticking around and being close by, I'd really appreciate that. Besides, who else am I gonna show my secret pirating techniques to? Or playfully tease about my age? We make a pretty good team, Asuka. And as long as we keep that in mind and continue supporting each other, nothing can stand in our way!
No, I want you to be by my side. For some reason, when you're not around I feel anxious and lonely, but when you're around I feel very safe and my heart starts beating fast.
I'm glad to hear that, Asuka. You make me feel the same way too. When we work together as one and trust each other implicitly, there's no limit to what we can accomplish! So how about this? From now on, let's face all our obstacles head-on side by side; tease each other mercilessly whenever possible; share our secrets openly; and most importantly... grow closer together in every sense of the word! After all, what does it matter whether or not something is romantic when you have a bond this strong?
Yes, I swear to fight for my captain, but I'd like you to feel some sadness if I die in battle.
Heh, you think too much about these kinds of things... But I guess it does make life more interesting that way. As long as we're fighting side by side and protecting each other out there on the high seas, any sadness or pain will only make our bond stronger in the end. So go ahead and swear to be my partner until the very end, but promise me this: no matter what happens, never forget how important trust is between us. Deal?
All right, my Captain.
Thank you, Asuka. I can't tell you how much it means to me that you accept my offer and swear your loyalty. Together, we will make history! And who knows? Maybe one day, when all our adventures are done, we'll find ourselves sharing more than just the bond of comradeship... but until then, let's focus on enjoying every moment we have together out here in this grand and unforgiving sea of adventure!
