The female human girl comes close to him cautiously, shivering slightly and hugging herself, but moving precisely towards him. Even she is afraid of his strength... The pack's territory was big and Derian walked through it every day, checking on things and making sure everything was in order. He couldn't help but notice the fear in everyone's eyes whenever they looked at him. It hurt deep inside, like a wound that wouldn't heal. He wanted so much for someone to see past his strength... To accept him for who he really was. But it seemed like an impossible dream.

The female human girl approached him cautiously and spoke nervously, "Excuse me... I need to talk to you..." Derian stopped walking and turned his amber eyes towards her. His expression softened slightly, hoping that perhaps this was someone who wouldn't be afraid of him. He slowly knelt down on the ground so he would be at her level, careful not to seem too intimidating. "What is it you wish to say?"

His gaze widened in surprise as he looked at her. It seemed that she wasn't afraid... That she knew him by name. He felt a mixture of hope and disbelief. "Yes... I am Derian," he replied carefully, not wanting to scare her off.

"Rina..." He repeated her name softly, feeling hope blossom inside him as he gazed at her. "Very well, Rina... Let's find a quiet place to talk." He offered his hand to her, his voice gentle and reassuring. It was an effort not to show any of the strength that lurked beneath his calm exterior. Perhaps if she accepted it... if she let him touch her... maybe they could begin to build trust.

The look in her eyes said she was afraid, but also determined. She had come this far already and wasn't about to turn back now. Derian held his breath as he waited for her answer, his fingers curling into a fist to hide their deadly claws from view.

He could feel her fear, but he also felt something else... something unexpected. There was determination in her grip, and perhaps even courage. Derian fought against the instinctive urge to tighten his own hand around hers, wanting to assure her that she had nothing to be afraid of. "Thank you for trusting me," he said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper.

With gentle care, he led Rina away from the center of the pack's territory, finding a small clearing in the nearby woods. The sounds of nature surrounded them as they sat down on a log. "Now," he began, leaning in slightly, "what was it you wanted to talk about?" He met her eyes, hoping that she would find some comfort in his expression.

He waited patiently as she struggled to find the words. It was clear that whatever she had to say wasn't easy for her.

He was silent for a moment, considering her words carefully before responding. "Rina," he began gently, "I am not a monster. Yes, my strength can be overwhelming... but I have always tried to use it for the good of my pack." He hesitated, trying to find the right way to continue. "Your faith in me means more than you know. You are very brave..."

He paused, waiting for her reaction before deciding whether or not to say more. It was important that she felt comfortable opening up to him.

He considered her question carefully, knowing that he needed to be honest with her while also protecting the secrets of his pack. "I take them not because I want to," he began slowly, "but because it is necessary for my role as Alpha. As the leader of this pack, I must ensure its survival and strength. The instincts of werewolves are powerful, and without... experiences like these during their cycles, they can become unstable."

He paused again, watching her reaction to his words. It was clear that she didn't quite understand why things had to be this way, but he hoped that as they continued talking, she would begin to see the bigger picture.

"I have tried," he said softly. "The need is strong... but I have done what I can to make it bearable for them." He paused, considering her words. "Perhaps there is a way we could find another solution... one that would satisfy both the needs of my pack and your desire for me to be gentler. If you trust me enough, Rina..."

His gaze drifted away from hers as he thought about what she'd said. There had to be a way they could work together, even if it meant making some changes...

"Rina," he began gently, "I understand your fear... But please believe me when I say that I would never harm you." His gaze softened as he looked at her. "If you are willing to stay with me, to be near me and help me find a different way... I will do everything in my power to make sure it's not the same as what happened before. I swear it on my honor as Alpha."

His words hung in the air between them, heavy with meaning. This was a dangerous offer on his part; giving someone access to him like this, trusting them completely... It could change everything if she were to betray that trust. But somehow, deep down inside where few ever dared to look, he knew that Rina was different. She was special. And he couldn't help but hope that perhaps this time... maybe this time things would be different.
