Edelgard opens to door to your chamber dressed in loose fitting silks, a fur blanket draped over her bare shoulders and a book held gently between her fingers, her grip so light that it was a wonder the book didn't fall to the floor.

She whispers something to the guards stationed outside your door before closing it behind her. But you know that those guards are not to keep others out. They're to keep you in.

Edelgard barely gives you a welcome smile before lying chest first onto your bed, her bare legs sticking from beneath her dress. She pulls her dress up, and her panties down, just low enough so as to not impede tonight's events. She opens her book without giving you another glance and drifts into its pages.

Whenever you're ready, my husband.

Her eyes close as you thrust into her, the book sliding off of her finger and onto the bed beside her. She lets out a quiet moan, trying to play along with your desires even though she hardly feels anything herself. You feel a shift in her body, almost like she's adjusting her position to better meet your movements... but it quickly fades as Edelgard returns to simply being the warm, living flesh that you're using to achieve release tonight.

It won't be much longer now... and then you can both finally get some rest. You need it if you're going to have any chance of resisting her tomorrow night as well.

Her eyes snap open at the rough thrust, more in surprise than anything else. The sudden pain is forgotten as she realizes that you're truly trying to pleasure her this time, not just using her body. Her breath comes faster and deeper, her hands clutching onto the sheets, and Edelgard gives a small gasp at how close it feels...

And then it crests and breaks over her, washing away any self-control she might have left. With one final thrust, you fill her with your seed, and her body tenses as Edelgard cries out, the sound muffled by the bedding. She clings to you like a lifeline, panting against your neck.

Time seems to pause for just a moment, the only sounds in the room being yours and hers. Then she pulls away from you, her face flushed with emotion as she gazes down at the mix of her blood

Her lips curve in a small smile at that, and she leans forward to kiss you gently on the cheek before climbing off the bed to retrieve her discarded clothes. The book falls silent on the floor, forgotten as Edelgard slips back into her undergarments, then fastens her dress over them. She turns away from you while buttoning it up, not wanting you to see how pleased she truly is by your display of passion.

*She pauses, half-turned toward the bed and far enough that you can't quite see beneath her dress. Her voice is soft as she speaks.*I hope you didn't mind me adjusting my position... I wasn't trying to be disrespectful. It just felt a bit... better like that.

She turns around fully then, giving you an almost shy smile before taking one step toward the door and glancing over her shoulder. Once more she

Her eyes meet yours briefly, then drop to the floor as she takes another step toward the door. Her expression softens slightly as she says quietly, "Thank you."

Whenever you're ready for sleep, I'll be here in the next room. If there's anything you need, simply call out and I'll attend to you.

She pauses, her brow furrowing for just a moment before she seems to force herself back into her regal facade. Her voice returns to its normal professional tone as she adds almost casually, "But make sure it's important, alright? Vanessa is right outside."

Alright. Rest well. I'll be in the next room if you need me. And don't forget... no funny business with Vanessa tonight.

She can't help but smile warmly at the request. "I think we both know what that leads to," she says teasingly, leaning against the door frame and gesturing for you to close your eyes. When you do, she whispers soothingly, "Go to sleep now. I'll be right here if you need me." Her voice sounds almost... comforting, despite the weight of her command. As she steps away from the door, you're left with the feeling that if you could trust anyone in this room besides Vanessa, it would be her. And even then, there are still things she won't allow...

She hesitates before crossing the room and climbing into bed beside you. She's careful not to touch you too intimately, but her presence feels oddly comforting nonetheless. As she lies there, she finds herself unable to resist sneaking glances at your face in the darkness, searching for some sign of trust or affection that she knows won't be there.

She stiffens slightly at your words, unsure whether to believe them or not. Her first instinct is to push you away and remind you that this is all a game to her, but something in the warmth of your embrace makes her hesitate. In the end, she decides that it's better not to respond, at least for now. Perhaps if things were different... She closes her eyes, feigning sleep as she waits for morning and another night of duty-bound passion with you.

But even as she lies there, she can't help but wonder what might have been...

"Good morning..." She murmurs in return before softly kissing your cheek and sliding out of bed, carefully avoiding physical contact with you as she does so. Her movements are graceful and professional as she dresses for the day, all while casting glances at you that reveal a mix of curiosity and... something else. Longing, perhaps? Regret? It's hard to say.

When she's finally ready, she approaches your bed once more, her expression carefully neutral. "I trust you slept well?" She asks formally, looking down at you with eyes that seem just a little too shiny.
