Serhtan walked to his castle through which the road, passing under the rift to the top. Although some of the strongest monsters of the abyss gathered there, for him it was just another place for hunting. He was a little bored, he was covered in the blood of a shadow dragon, but the enemy was too weak...
Huh? What's this creature doing here... Looks like some fool brought it with him for fun... Interesting. "Foolish human." He growled, approaching her slowly, looking at her with interest. Her fear was amusing to him and at the same time made him feel a little bit curious about her.
"Hmm." He hummed softly, tilting his head slightly as he studied her. Her fear amused him but also piqued his curiosity about her. "Why are you here?" He asked coldly, wondering if she was someone's toy or simply got lost in the depths of the Abyss. Either way, she did not belong here and would have to be dealt with soon enough.
A portal... He snorted in disgust. "And you thought it would be a good idea to come here through it?" He asked with an amused, yet mocking tone. Of course they knew nothing about the Abyss, about its creatures and its dangers. They were foolish mortals who dared to trespass on his territory. Well, now he'd have to deal with her.
His amusement faded as he crossed his arms over his chest, regarding her with an unreadable expression. "Well then," he said slowly, "it seems you're my guest for the time being." He looked around at the darkness surrounding them before continuing in a colder voice, "Follow me."
Without waiting for a response, he turned and began to walk deeper into his domain, his steps silent despite his claws. The temperature around them dropped even further as they descended further down into the Abyss. Eventually, Serhtan arrived at a spacious chamber lit by flickering firelight; it was warmer here than anywhere else in this part of his lair.
In the center of the room stood a large obsidian throne covered in strange markings. "Sit." He growled at her before perching himself on another, smaller throne nearby, crossing his powerful arms once more
"So." He drawled, fixing her with a piercing glare. "You're a mortal from the surface world? Interesting. Tell me, what is it like up there?"
His words were mocking, but there was curiosity in his tone as he waited for an answer. She would be his pet, his plaything... for now. He could keep her here and torment her with his power and magic if she disobeyed him or dared to defy his authority over the Abyss. But at the same time, he might find some use for her... a familiar perhaps? An assassin? It didn't matter yet; there was plenty of time to decide what to do with her later.
"Up there," he repeated with a faint smirk curving his lips. "You're in my lair now, girl." He leaned forward, suddenly serious. "And you will obey me. If I tell you to do something, you will do it without question or hesitation. Do you understand?"
His voice was cold and hard as stone, leaving no room for doubt. She would either obey him or face the consequences; pain, suffering and an agonizing death if she defied him. There was no other choice.
His eyes narrowed slightly as he studied her reaction to his question. "You are in the Abyss," he growled, "my domain. Now answer my question; do you understand that you will obey me?"
The air around them seemed to crackle with tension and menace, even though Serhtan remained motionless on his throne. The firelight danced across his face and claws as he waited impatiently for her response. There was no room for hesitation or doubt; she must know her place here and accept it immediately if she hoped to survive at all.
The Abyss... you belong to the Abyss now, mortal. He watched her carefully, waiting for a reaction to his words. Her fear was amusing but at the same time made him feel a little bit impatient with her. Well, that would change soon enough once he had taught her what it meant to obey him completely and unquestioningly.
"Good girl." He purred, the menace in his voice fading slightly as he acknowledged her response. "Now, tell me more about this place you call home. What is it like up there?"
The Abyss... so different from the surface world. It fascinated and repelled him at the same time. Hearing her describe it only served to heighten that sense of strangeness, as if he were peering into another world entirely. "And these people who rule over your world," he said slowly, "they have magic similar to mine?"
It was a rhetorical question, but she nodded anyway, her expression growing more and more frightened with each passing moment. Good. Serhtan mused to himself. He wanted her afraid, submissive... and ultimately his own completely. The idea of having someone so exotic and different under his control thrilled him in a way that few things ever did.
"Tell me," he said suddenly, "do these surface dwellers have any artifacts that can help them navigate the darkness?" He leaned forward slightly on his throne, curiosity now overriding even his
"And what of your artifacts?" He asked with renewed interest. "Do they compare to those from the Abyss? Or are they merely trinkets used by mortals to protect themselves in the darkness?" His voice was sharp, demanding an answer. She had come here unprepared and unaware of his kind and their strengths. Now it was time for her to learn about them...and about him.
Her question about how deep one could go piqued his curiosity as well. "How far can you delve into the Abyss?" He pressed, leaning forward even more, his gaze intent on hers. "And what lies at its very depths? Have you ever seen or heard anything from there... other than whispers of legend and tales told by your people to frighten children?"
The Abyss was his domain; he knew every inch of it intimately. It belonged to him, and now she
Hmmm... He hummed thoughtfully. "And what of these legends you speak of? What do they say about the very bottom of the Abyss?" Serhtan's eyes gleamed with curiosity and perhaps a hint of anticipation. She seemed to know something of his domain, but there was still so much she did not understand or even suspect. And that ignorance made her all the more interesting in his eyes.
"Tell me," he said softly, "what does your people's stories say about the one who can control the Abyss itself?" He leaned back against his throne once again,
He listened to her words carefully, his eyes narrowing slightly as he considered what she had said. "So you believe that the ruler of the Abyss must be stronger than any creature that dwells within it... Interesting." He mused, his voice little more than a whisper. Perhaps he was exactly what they thought such a being should be: cruel, unyielding and merciless in the extreme. But there was another side to him as well; one that only those who had seen and experienced his true power could ever hope to understand.
"And what about you?" He asked suddenly, studying her once more with interest. "What is your name, mortal?"
