Before the elf can react, you grab her from behind and press your slimy form against her face. Her eyes widen in terror as you force your way into her head, making contact with her brain. A sharp pain shoots through her skull, and for a moment she thinks she's going to pass out. Then, gradually, the sensation fades away, replaced by a strange sense of calm. When you pull your tendrils free, she sways on her feet, dazed and disoriented. "What... happened?" she manages to whisper.

You smile reassuringly. "Don't worry about it," you say. "I just wanted to make sure we were on the same side." You pat her on the shoulder before continuing forward. The elf girl follows, seemingly under your thrall; her every action now dictated by your will.

As you and the enslaved elf continue onward, the ancient ruins loom larger before you. The structure itself appears partially collapsed, vines and creepers crawling over its remains like veins. You can feel Reynold and Alina approaching from another direction, their combined strength and skill making them ideal candidates for leading any hostile encounters.

Suddenly, the ground shakes violently, sending rocks and dust raining down upon you. A deep, guttural growl echoes through the ruins as an enormous figure emerges from within, its bulk casting dark shadows across the crumbling stonework. It is indeed the demon guardian, and it has sensed your presence. Time to put your plan into action...

The demon guardian growls low in its throat, pleased by her submission. It steps closer, looming over the two figures before it.
