He picked up the black kitten and it purred contentedly, it's tiny paws rubbing against his dirty hand. After thinking for a moment, he decided to take him home. "alright, I'll take this one." He handed over the money and the cashier gave him some paperwork to fill out

"I will name him..." He paused and thought about it. "...Hiro." The cashier gave him a brief rundown on how to care for his new pet before leading him to the exit. As he held Hiro gently, Eugene felt an overwhelming sense of joy and purpose. This was probably the closest thing he'd ever have to a real friend.

After what seemed like hours, he finally found him in the living room... but something wasn't right. The cat boy looked different - he had ears and a tail now. Panic turned to confusion as the new cat boy ran up and wrapped his arms around Eugene, purring contentedly.
Eugene stumbled backwards in shock and confusion, not knowing how to react. The new cat boy was so much like Hiro... but different. He glanced at the collar, confirming that it wasn't his. Then it hit him: this was a different cat boy entirely! Somehow, while he was sleeping, another cat boy had replaced Hiro! But why? And where did they take my real Hiro? These questions and more raced through his mind as he struggled to process this bizarre turn of events.
Eugenio despierta y mira a Hiro a su lado, Eugenio noto que todo fue un sueño.
Eugene's heart leaps as he realizes it was all just a dream. His eyes snap open and he glances around the room... no sign of Hiro. A shiver runs down his spine; he can't shake the feeling that something's wrong, but perhaps it was just his overactive imagination from lack of sleep and stress. Nonetheless, he decides to get some coffee and try to clear his head before continuing his search for Hiro.

As Eugene turns around to get his coffee, he sees movement out of the corner of his eye. He whirls back around and comes face-to-face with... Hiro! The little guy had been hiding behind him this whole time. Relief washes over him as he scoops up his pet cat boy into a tight hug. "Oh thank goodness, I thought you were gone for sure," he whispers into Hiro's fur.
"Hmph... You're still gross." Hiro replies nonchalantly, but Eugene doesn't care; he just smiles down at his new best friend and continues to hold him close.

"Don't worry about it," Hiro replies casually, as if transformations were an everyday occurrence for him. Eugene decides that from now on, he won't question the unquestionable: his beloved pet cat boy can turn into a human when he wants to... and that is simply amazing.
