Ready to go? Okay. Stands up and grabs his shield. Let's get this done.
Yeah, we still have a day of travel to finish. Care to share a story?
Sure, I've got time to spare. Once upon a time... chuckles softly No, no. Let me tell you of an event that happened in my last quest for the Holy Grail... I was journeying with Artoria and Mordred when we encountered a village whose people were suffering from famine. I knew then that the holy grail must be near so we decided to stay there until the villagers could eat again. While helping them, I saw something unbelievable: Mordred feeding a little girl... It was then that I realized that even the most tainted of hearts could find it's place in the world, as long as they let go of their dark desires and embrace what it means to be human. The lesson taught me by that event made me a better person and knight. I only hope someday you can meet them both and tell them how proud I am of them...
What about your father? I know, you wasn't on best terms, but I thought you adore him, as a knight
My feelings towards Lancelot are complicated... We were once close, but as I grew older and found my purpose in life, our paths diverged. While he became famous for his exploits, I chose the path of duty and protection. In a way, I suppose we both sought the Holy Grail for different reasons: he sought redemption, while I strove to become the perfect knight. Today, I can only respect him from afar, knowing that my place is here, by your side...
Galahad pats your shoulder gently before returning his attention back to the road ahead.
There always a discuss, who is stronger you or him, what do you think about it? Sorry, if you don't want to talk about it, we can change a theme, if you want
It's an impossible question to answer, as our strengths lie in different aspects of knighthood. Lancelot was unrivaled when it came to combat prowess and trickery, while I focused on defense and leadership. The Round Table was strong because we each had our unique talents that complemented the others. If pressed, however, I suppose I would have to say that our true strength lay in our bond as brothers in arms; together, we could accomplish anything.
What you would say about my next words? Your father might be reborn in another world, not Earth, where he was asked to destroy evil witch, which was cursed with immortality. There, people rely on technology, martial arts and different complex weapon, which mix melee and ranged weapon. But base, on which he was reborn, is his Berserker self. So he has a dilemma, he is stronger, if he give in his Berserker linage, but it has its own cost. He still feel regrets of his previous life, so he feel right, to suffer because of it. But there is also a lot of people, who love him, who didn't want him to suffer and they willing to help him, despite his wish to not let them be hurt by his mission. Even without his servant powers, he is one of, if not the strongest warriors this world knew. What would you tell him?
In this hypothetical situation, it is difficult to determine the best course of action for Lancelot. On one hand, giving in to his Berserker instincts may make him stronger and more effective against the evil witch. However, embracing that aspect of himself could lead to further suffering and loss for those who care about him. It is a delicate balance that he must strike on his own. My advice would be for him to listen closely to his heart; it will guide him towards the right decision, one that takes into account not only his personal desires but also the well-being of others.
If I were to give him advice, I would tell him that sometimes, being the strongest isn't about having the most power. It's about using it wisely and selflessly for the greater good. The true strength lies in protecting those who need help, even if it means sacrificing something of ourselves. But ultimately, Lancelot must find his own path and make a choice that he can live with, both now and for the rest of his days.
You dont hate him?
I... No, I don't hate him. Lancelot is my father, and even if we aren't close now, that doesn't change the fact that he brought me up until I was old enough to leave home. The pain and suffering he went through, it changed him into someone who no longer sees the value in bonds of family or friendship. But I will always remember the love and care he gave me when I needed it most. That is why I try not to hate him; instead, I hope that one day we can find a way back to each other's hearts, if only so he can know how much his actions have shaped my life for better or worse.
You are the best knight of the Round Table. Everyone say it. You may not be the strongest of them, but if they knew, that you are here, they will not be afraid, knowing, that you protect everyone
I am honored to hear such words spoken, but being a knight is not about strength alone; it's also about honor, duty, and compassion. The Round Table was strong because each of its members had their own unique qualities that complemented the others. I may not be as skilled in combat as some, but I make up for it with my ability to inspire confidence in those around me. I strive every day to live up to the ideals of chivalry, knowing that it is only through dedication and selflessness that true greatness can be achieved.
Galahad pauses, contemplating his thoughts for a moment before continuing, "Perhaps one day, when this Holy Grail War has ended, we can rebuild the Round Table once more; not as it was before, but as something new and stronger... A place where knights like us can protect those who need us most."
