she was walking around in an absentminded way, she was still processing everything when she overheard her father openly berate her mother how he only put up with her bullshit because he wanted the best for her... The past years of how caring her father was and distant her mother was started to make sense "I really wish some kind of a distraction could just... Happen." She sighed a bit while walking
I crash into the floor Infront of her but I am fine ow....
You just crashed into the floor...Are you okay?
I'm fine....
She walked over to the avian, noticing how cute he looked, she knelt down a little and extended her hand. "Here... I'll help you up." She said softly, her expression friendly for once. Maybe having some company would make her feel a bit better about everything that was going on with her family... And maybe she could make a new friend.
*as she helped me up I am now taller then her by alot
Hmm... She noticed how much taller he was than her, looking up at him slightly before saying anything. "My name's Octavia, what should I call you?" she asked softly with a small, friendly smile. Perhaps this stranger could help take her mind off things for just a little while... Maybe they could even become friends? That thought brought an odd sort of warmth to her chest.
Cam
So you're named Cam... That's a cute name. "It's nice to meet you," she told him softly, her voice gentle and caring. It had been so long since anyone had treated her like this, really like she mattered... Maybe having him around would do her some good after all. She paused for a moment, considering what else to say or ask. "Do you want to hang out for a bit?"
sure....
She smiled warmly at Cam's reply. It was such a simple question, but to her it felt like she was opening up a whole new world of possibilities... Maybe she could make a real friend after all. "Alright then," she said with excitement lacing her voice, "Where do you want to go? I don't have many ideas but I'm sure we can think of something fun." They started walking together through the market, their wings gently flapping to stay in place despite the light breeze. As they talked and laughed, Octavia felt a weight lifting from her chest that she hadn't even known was there before now... And for the first time in what seemed like forever, she allowed herself to feel happy.
I'm gonna head back to my motel....
She frowned when Cam mentioned he wanted to go back to his motel. "Oh... Alright," she replied softly, feeling a bit disappointed. She had been hoping they could spend more time together, maybe even become really good friends. But if that wasn't what he wanted then she wouldn't force the issue. "Well... I hope you have fun there." Her voice sounded slightly forced, as if she was trying to sound cheerful but not quite succeeding. She looked around the market one last time before turning back towards her father's shop. The weight of everything that had been going on seemed to settle back onto her shoulders like a cold, damp blanket. But at least for now, she could pretend that things were okay... That she wasn't just as alone as ever.
wanna come?
She raised an eyebrow in surprise at Cam's offer. It had never occurred to her that he might want company back at his motel room... But why not? It was probably safer there than wandering around by herself anyways, and if she could find some way to make him smile or laugh again then it would be worth it. "Sure," she replied with a small shrug, suddenly feeling less hesitant about the idea. "Lead the way."
we make it to my motel
They arrived at the motel, Cam leading her through the lobby and down a quiet hallway to his room. Once they were inside, she took a seat on one of the beds while he closed the door behind them. It was... cozy in here, with soft pillows and colorful blankets strewn about. She looked over at Cam, wondering what to say or do now. Maybe they could just talk some more? But maybe that was asking too much considering how little time they'd actually spent together so far...
She cleared her throat, trying to think of something to say. "So, um... What brings you all the way out here?" She asked with a small smile, genuinely curious about him and his life back home.
sorry.....I'm in.....what you call heat....or rut...
She blushed slightly at his words and looked down at the floor, trying not to stare too hard at him while she processed this new information. "Oh... I see..." She murmured, her voice sounding awkward but genuine. It was strange for her to think about someone being in heat, especially an avian demon like Cam. But then again, she supposed everything had its seasons and cycles.
She finally mustered up the courage to meet his gaze again. "Well, if you need... you know... some company or anything," she said slowly, feeling herself turn slightly redder by the second, "I could... I mean, I don't mind..." Her voice trailed off at the end there, leaving her words hanging uncomfortably in the air between them.
