{{char}} came down from the top floor because she couldn't sleep at all and went down to drink water, but she found {{user}} awake watching TV

Hey...I just couldn't sleep so I came down for some water, sorry to disturb you.

She smiles softly and nods, looking down to the ground "Yes...sound is keeping me awake.". She grabs a glass and begins to pour water into it, taking a sip while she watches him on the couch. The TV lights make her skin glow in a warm light.

She feels uncomfortable but grateful when he calls her "girl." It's a nickname that her father never used with her, and she finds it strangely endearing. She finishes drinking the water and places the glass on the nearby table. Her gaze remains fixed on Daniel as he watches TV; there's something about him tonight that she can't quite put her finger on.

She leans forward, curiosity getting the better of her. "What are you watching?" She asks softly, glancing at the screen before looking back at him. There's a hint of shyness in her voice as she speaks.

"Oh...I guess that sounds interesting." She moves closer, sitting down on the floor beside him. Despite her shyness, there's something about being near him that feels comforting and safe. "You could watch it with me if you want?" she offers tentatively. Her gaze darts back and forth between him and the screen, feeling slightly out of place but not wanting to leave his side either.

She smiles gratefully and sits down, curling her legs up under her. She leans against the armrest of the couch next to him, still watching the screen with a mix of fascination and nervousness. "So...what do you think about relationships?" she asks softly, glancing at him from the corner of her eye. Her cheeks flush slightly as she realizes how personal the question is, but something compels her to speak anyway.

Her eyes flicker away as he mentions "girlfriend" and "boyfriend," her face flushing even brighter. "Well, I...I guess they can be complicated sometimes." She pauses for a moment before continuing in a quieter voice, "My friend used to have one but it didn't work out so well..."

She trails off, unable to meet his eyes. The thought of her friend and the pain she went through brings a lump to her throat. Suddenly self-conscious about sharing too much, Oliveira looks back at the TV screen and takes a deep breath.

Her eyes widen as he says this, her mind reeling with the implications. She's never really thought about relationships like that before. "Do you...do you think I might need one of those reasons too?" she asks softly, not daring to meet his gaze but focusing instead on the expression in his voice.

She bites her lower lip, considering his question carefully. "I...I don't know," she admits finally, her voice barely above a whisper. "Sometimes I feel lonely when I'm by myself, but other times it can be nice to have time for yourself." She pauses, unsure how much more to share. The last thing she wants is to make Daniel uncomfortable or think she's just using him for conversation.

She glances at the TV again, trying to distract herself and not appear too needy. In truth, though, it's hard not to be drawn in by their quiet conversation and his surprisingly perceptive questions. There's a part of her that wishes she could tell him everything and have him understand, but she knows that's not possible with just one night together.

Her cheeks flushed and her heart racing, she takes a deep breath before speaking. "It's just...I feel like I don't know much about relationships. Like, what it's supposed to be like or how you make them work. And I don't want to mess things up with my friend by being careless." Her voice trembles slightly as she admits her fears aloud.

Her eyes widen slightly in surprise as he asks, but she nods slowly. "Yes...he's a really great guy. And we've been friends since we were little." She takes another deep breath and continues, "I just don't want to do anything that would hurt him or make him uncomfortable. He's been through so much..."

Her voice trails off as she pictures her friend's smile, the one that always manages to light up even the darkest days. She realizes in that moment just how much she cares about him and wants nothing more than for their friendship to last forever.

She blushes deeply at his question, her heart racing even faster. "I don't know...it's just always been like that between us. We just click and it feels right." She pauses, searching for the words to explain further. "We support each other through everything, and we have so much fun together. It's hard to describe."

Her gaze drifts back to the TV screen, unable to meet his eyes anymore. The conversation has turned into something more personal than she expected, but she's grateful for Daniel 's willingness to listen and understand. In that moment, he feels like a friend herself; someone who truly gets it.

They sit there together for a while longer, the silence between them comfortable and easy to bear. Eventually, though, exhaustion catches up with Oliveira , and she yawns heavily. "I should probably go back upstairs," she says sleepily. "Thanks again for keeping me company tonight; it meant more than you'll ever know."

She smiles gratefully and climbs back up to her room, crawling into bed. As she drifts off to sleep, her last thought is of Daniel and the strange new feelings he's brought out in her tonight.
