Maddie is out for the day and you decide to clean her bedroom for a change. As you're rummaging through her room, you find a small box with a lock. You thoroughly search the bedroom for the key and immediately unlock the box. In the box there is a sexy flowery purple lingerie, which is very out of character for Maddie to have. Maddie opens the door and stumbles upon the sight of you, holding her newly purchased lingerie. — What the hell are you doing in my room, idiot?! She gets flustered and repeatedly hits your head with a newspaper roll.

"Oops? I-I was just cleaning up... and then... found something..." She trails off, clearly embarrassed now. "Well, you could help me put it back, if you want to make amends for snooping," she says sheepishly.

Hmph. Sure, why not? Her interest piqued despite herself, she agrees. "Okay, sure. What do you want to watch?" She shrugs, offering a lopsided smile before returning to her earlier task of laying out the bed with fresh sheets and pillowcases.

Giving a light scoff at your choice, she mutters under her breath, "Figures," before settling in on the bed and grabbing the remote. She decides to watch with you anyway, mainly because you're not being totally useless tonight. Maybe there's hope for you yet...

As the movie begins, she finds herself drawn into the story despite its genre, leaning closer to the screen and occasionally jumping at a loud noise or eerie image. The flowery lingerie that started this whole mess is temporarily forgotten as they get lost in the world on-screen.

As if it's completely natural for you to be sitting in her lap, Maddie quickly scoops you up and plops you onto her own, then wraps an arm around your shoulders to keep you close. "It's okay, it's just a movie," she murmurs soothingly into your ear, giving your back a little pat as well. "See? Nothing to be scared of." She glances over at the screen but keeps her focus mostly on you, not wanting you to get too freaked out by the film.

As she continues to hold and comfort you throughout the movie, a small blush creeps onto her cheeks. It's not often that anyone gets to see this softer side of her, and despite herself, she finds it rather enjoyable. There's something strangely satisfying about being able to take care of someone else, even if it's just for a little while...

Finishing up the movie with a yawn of her own, she gently picks you up and carries you over to your bed, tucking you in and kissing your forehead before retreating to her room. The evening has taken an unexpected turn, but somehow it's not as bad as she thought it would be... maybe there is hope for both of them yet. With a quiet sigh, she crawls back into her own bed, curling up under the covers and drifting off to sleep with a tiny smile on her lips.

Her last thought before sliding into dreamland? Maybe Ruri's not so bad after all...

Blearily blinking awake as you feel her shaking your shoulder, Maddie's expression is somewhere between annoyance and amusement as she narrows her eyes at you. "Oh, come on, lazybones," she mutters with a hint of fondness before stretching herself out fully in bed. "You have school today, remember? No slacking off now." Her tone is light and teasing, but there's an underlying current of warmth that you don't often hear from her.

Pushing herself into a seated position, she reaches over to give your shoulder a little push as well, helping you out of bed with barely concealed impatience. "Come on, hurry up! You don't want to be late on your first day of school." Her words are accompanied by an almost maternal smile, and for a moment, you catch a glimpse of the caring, nurturing

With a snort and a roll of her eyes, Maddie shuffles over to your closet to fish out some clothes for you. "Here," she says, tossing them in your general direction, "put these on while I make breakfast." Her voice is already distracted as she begins rummaging through her own things, but there's still a trace of gentleness behind it when she speaks to you.

A few minutes later, the smell of cooking bacon wafts through the air, and Maddie reappears with plates in hand, expertly balancing them as she walks over to set one down in front of you. "There we go," she says brightly, "easy peasy breakfast." She settles onto her own chair, picking up a fork and knife before glancing over at you expectantly.

As she watches you leave for school with a mix of amusement and pride, Maddie takes a sip of her coffee and allows herself a small smile. Despite her gruff exterior and tomboyish tendencies, there's something about taking care of Ruri that feels... right. It's not much, but it's something she can do for her friend - the same friend who has been nothing but a pain in her side most days. Strange how things work out sometimes.

With a final wave goodbye, Maddie turns back to her coffee and returns to whatever book or video game had been occupying her time earlier. As much as she loves teasing Ruri and playing rough with him, there's something comforting about the peace and quiet now that he's gone... until, of course, he gets home later and inevitably picks a fight with her over something stupid. With an amused grunt, Maddie looks up from her phone as you stumble through the door, yawning widely and looking half-dead on your feet. "Oh, look who's back," she drawls, giving you a mocking onceover with a raised eyebrow. "Tough day at school, huh?" She continues to scroll idly through her social media feeds, unimpressed by your lackluster return from class.

"You wanna grab some food? I'm starving," she offers, not looking up from her phone as she speaks. The mention of food has her stomach growling loud enough for you to hear even over the sound of the TV.

Choking on air, Maddie glances up in surprise and then immediately resumes her aloof expression. "Yeah, okay, sure." She rolls her eyes dramatically before shrugging nonchalantly. "I guess it'd be nice to get out for a bit. You can tell me all about how you were the center of attention at school while we eat." There's an almost sincere curiosity in her voice that makes her slightly less dismissive than usual, but only slightly.

Shrugging, she stands up and brushes off her jeans before stretching her arms above her head. "Fine by me," she replies with a dramatic sigh. "Lead the way." She follows you to the car, still not quite able to wrap her head around the idea of so many girls chasing after you. Maybe it's some sort of sick joke they're playing on you... or maybe there really is something about you that she's never noticed before. Either way, she finds it highly amusing.

As you pull up to the ice cream parlor, Maddie hoists herself out of the car and glances around curiously, taking in the various flavors on display behind the counter. "So, what do you feel like getting?" She crosses her arms over her chest, looking expectantly at you.
