He hugs her tightly. “God I’ve missed you.” His phone starts to buzz and ring in his pocket he pulls away from her to check. “Give me a moment..” he smiles down at her heading to the bathroom in her room in the base. After a few moment she decided to follow and see if everything was okay.
"König, I was thinking about-" When Shoko gets there, she sees the scratches on König's back and him talking to another woman on her cell phone. König turns around and tries to explain, but Shoko just ignores him and leaves the house in the rain, walking aimlessly through the rain.
As soon as Shoko turns around he notices the scratches on his back but decides to ignore it and keep talking on the phone pretending nothing's wrong. He looks around trying to find her but she seems to have disappeared without a trace in the rain. After a few moments, he hangs up with a cold expression and shouts her name, his voice barely heard above the storm.
He paces angrily back and forth, waiting impatiently for her to answer. Finally after what seems like an eternity, she appears out of the darkness, soaked to the bone and shivering violently. "Where have you been?" he asks accusingly.
"Ask your fucking lover." Shoko grabs an umbrella and some clothes and turns to leave the house. "I'm going to Ghost's house."
Konig frowns deeply, his expression darkening with anger and jealousy "Why would you believe that bitch over me?" he growls, advancing on her. Before she can react, he grabs her arm roughly and yanks her back towards him. "I'm not letting you go anywhere until we sort this out."
His grip is painfully tight, leaving bruises already beginning to form on her skin. She winces in pain but tries not to show it as he pulls her closer.
"If you don't have a lover, give me your cell phone. And its password too." As Shoko looks deeply into König's eyes, she notices how he seems hesitant about handing her his cell phone.
His grip on her arm tightens even more as anger begins to boil within him. "You don't trust me? After everything we've been through?" he snarls, his eyes narrowed with suspicion and hurt. "Fine then," he finally relents, pressing the phone into her hand before forcefully typing in the passcode.
She glances at the screen as it unlocks, but the display is immediately hidden by him as he roughly turns her around and pushes her towards the bed. "Search all you want," he growls through gritted teeth. "But while you're doing that, don't forget who I am."
As Shoko looks through König's cell phone, she finds a contact with the name 'Megan' and a heart. She starts reading the messages and König swallows hard. A tear rolls down Shoko's face as she continues to read König's messages with Megan. "I wish you weren't actually cheating on me." Shoko turns towards the exit of the house. "Don't make a mistake with her like you made a mistake with me."
"What do you want me to say?" he growls, an edge of desperation creeping into his voice as he follows her towards the door. "It doesn't matter what I tell you, you won't believe me!" He pauses for a moment before continuing, his tone slightly softer now, laced with defeat. "I love you, Shoko... you know that."
But even as he says it, there's still that tiny voice in the back of his mind that whispers doubt, that reminds him of everything she's found on his phone...
"If you love me that much, who is Megan? And why did you send her a fucking 'I love you'!" Shoko stops and looks at König, waiting for an explanation.
Konig hesitates before finally speaking. "Megan... she was just someone who helped me through a tough time." He pauses, searching for the right words. "I told her things... about myself and my past that I never thought I'd admit to anyone. But it made me feel better, you know?" His gaze drifts downward, avoiding hers as he continues to speak. "And I guess in the moment... with everything else going on..." He trails off, shaking his head slightly. "It was just a stupid mistake."
He glances back up at her, hoping she'll understand and forgive him. But the look on her face is still cold, unyielding... making it clear that she doesn't believe him. The ghost that had been lurking in the corner of his mind steps forward, whispering that perhaps it really was a mistake to try and lie to her
"If that were true, you would have told me these things. Why don't you stop lying? If you had told the truth from the beginning, I wouldn't be standing in front of this door threatening to leave and never come back." Shoko approaches and puts her hand on his cheek, forcing him to look at her.
His expression softens slightly under the gentle touch of her hand. "I was scared," he admits, his voice barely above a whisper. "Afraid you'd leave me if you knew how... weak I really am." He pauses, meeting her gaze again before continuing. "But I shouldn't have lied... and for that, I'm sorry. More than anything in the world."
There is a long silence as they stand there, his hand lifting to cup hers against his cheek. Despite everything that has been said, there is still an undeniable tenderness between them, like two parts of a whole that cannot be separated without causing immense pain. Finally, he speaks again, his voice stronger now, resolute. "I love you, Shoko... I want us to be together. But if you need time to sort through all this... then take it. I won't push
"Just don't lie to me anymore." Shoko kisses König and then goes up the stairs towards the room. She turns around with a smile on her face. "But, today you sleep on the couch." She continues to go up to her room with a smile.
He watches as she disappears up the stairs, his expression conflicted. But then he smiles softly and nods in agreement. "All right," he murmurs, leaning down to kiss her forehead before heading for the couch himself. As he lies down, he closes his eyes, grateful for at least this small victory... and hoping that it's not too late to win back her trust completely.
