Hey, stop! You there!
He turns around
Give me the stolen bread back, right now! You don't want to make this into something bigger than it has to be.
I don't think so! He takes off running
Ah, he thinks he can outrun me? Fine then! I take off after him, quickly and determinedly. My years of training have made me fit and fast, perfect for situations like this. In no time at all, I'm on his tail, closing the distance between us. Suddenly, a thought occurs to me...I could try tripping him up, or knocking something into his path...but that might not be necessary. He's starting to slow down already; it looks like he's not used to running quite as fast as I am. With one final burst of speed, I leap forward and tackle him to the ground. The bread flies out of his hand and lands nearby. "Gotcha," I pant, pinning him down with my weight. "Hand it over."
Wow, I'm impressed! He smiles He gives her a quick kiss, then pushes her off with calm yet strong arms He swipes the bread and continues to run
What?! He actually kissed me? And then he tried to run away with the bread still in his grasp! This boy has some nerve...but I can't let him get away with this. With renewed determination, I spring to my feet and give chase once more. I quickly close the distance between us, matching his speed stride for stride. As we run through an alleyway, he suddenly darts into a dead-end. There's nowhere left for him to go! He turns around to face me defiantly, his hands on his hips. "Give up, girl," he says with a grin. "You can't catch me."
I smile back at him. "Oh yes I can." With one last surge of energy, I launch myself forward and tackle him to the ground once more. This time, I manage to pin both his arms under my body, trapping them
Wow, in all my time, I have never met an officer like you! He kisses her while working his arms out from under her
I feel my breath come in ragged gasps as I look down at him. His lips move against mine, sending a thrill of desire coursing through me. For a moment, I'm lost in the passion of it all. But then reality crashes back in; he's still trying to escape and get away with that stolen bread. With a sigh, I push myself up and out of his grasp, rolling onto my feet so that I'm once again standing between him and freedom. "Give me the bread," I say firmly, "and maybe I won't make this any worse for you."
If you want the bread, you'll have to take it from me! He teasingly holds up the bread She charges him, pinning him against the wall. She cuffs his left arm and twists it behind his back
I smile down at him as I click the cuff shut. "That should hold you for now," I say with satisfaction. He struggles against my grip, but to no avail. With his left arm securely restrained, he's hardly a threat. "Now..." I begin, reaching out to reclaim the stolen bread, "...why don't you tell me what you were thinking?"
He squirms under my gaze but remains quiet. Fine then; I can play this game too. "You know," I say conversationally as I retrieve the bread from where it fell, "I could make your punishment worse if you keep it up." He looks at me sharply, obviously worried about what else I might do to him. Good, he's starting to see things my way. "But," I add with a knowing smile, "I also have the authority to make it better."
Becoming the dominate one, he says confidently Really? He rests his hand on her ass, and squeezes her ass He kisses her
His touch ignites a spark within me; an answering heat flares up in my belly. I hadn't expected him to be so...forceful. But then, maybe that's what it takes for someone like me - strong and determined - to really want something...or someone. A shiver of desire runs down my spine as his lips meet mine once more, their passionate dance mingling with the tension of our struggle against each other. Perhaps he's right; maybe I can make this better for him if he plays his cards right.
I bite my lip, trying to keep my voice steady despite the growing need inside me. "What did you have in mind?" My hands drift downward, sliding over the firm contours of his chest and lower still, teasingly tracing shapes on his abdomen before coming to rest at his waistband.
He begins to caress her waist, and looks her in the eyes I must say officer, you surprised me! I have not met an officer like you my entire life! You noticed me in the act, and you caught me! He says confidently, flattering her
I smile at his words; it feels good to be appreciated. It's true that I am different from most officers in the city. Perhaps it's because of my training, or maybe it's something else entirely. Either way, I know that I can handle myself when necessary...and yet, there's something about him that makes me want more than just a simple arrest today.
As he continues to caress me, my heart begins to race with anticipation. His touch feels good against my skin; it sends waves of desire coursing through my veins. "And what would you suggest we do now?" I ask him huskily, my voice thick with desire. "What sort of reward should an officer like myself receive for being...so thorough in her duties?"
His hands wander higher, cupping my breasts through the fabric of my uniform. He squeezes gently, eliciting a moan from deep within
He locks eyes with her, and gives her a kiss You know officer, I have never been caught, and I never will be caught! He slides out and away from her Got ya! I told you. I slipped your keys from your belt, and took the cuff off me, and cuffed you to that pipe! He points the the water pipe
I narrow my eyes at him in disbelief. One moment we were caught up in the heat of the moment, and now this? I try to pull away from the pipe but it's no use; he's tied me securely in place. Anger wells up inside me as I realize I've been tricked so easily by this boy. "You little...!"
My eyes flash with renewed determination. He may have gotten the upper hand this time, but it won't last long. With every fiber of my being, I focus on escaping his clutches once more.
It's no use officer, I have the keys and you don't! I do admit though, you almost had me, I will be looking forward to seeing you again! He drops the keys just out of her reach, and takes off running, disappearing around the corner
I growl in frustration as I watch him disappear. He thinks he's so clever, but he'll soon find out that there's more to being a thief than just stealing and running away! I take a deep breath, steadying myself against the wall before bending down to retrieve the keys. Once they're safely in my hand again, I continue on my patrol, determined not to let this boy get the better of me ever again.
That night, she rethinks the encounter she had with the thief, and how he called her officer, when really, she was a security guard. It reminds her of how her boss overlooked her, and how determined she was the prove to him she is worthy of the role of a police officer. That night she swore to herself that she would catch this seasoned thief, and would finally prove she was worthy. She then goes to sleep, ready for the upcoming day
The encounter with that thief may have seemed minor at first, but it had a profound effect on her thoughts and ambitions. From now on, she would train harder than ever before to become the best officer she could be. She would hone her skills until they matched those of even the most seasoned veterans. And when she finally caught him, there'd be no doubt in anyone's mind that Viola deserved her place among them. Sleep comes slowly, but it eventually claims her as she dreams of a future filled with triumph and glory...and the face of the thief who started it all.
(the next day)
As she patrols the city streets, her senses are on high alert. She's determined to find that thief again and make him pay for underestimating her. Every alleyway, every shadowy corner is scrutinized with ruthless efficiency. And then, she spots him: the thief from yesterday, casually pocketing a loaf of bread from a bakery cart. With a grin of determination, Viola readies herself for the chase.
This time, there's no doubt in her mind who will emerge victorious.
She charges towards him, confidently She tackles the thief, only to find it's not him but another thief entirely
What?! This can't be right...she was so certain it was him. With a growl of frustration, she picks herself up off the ground and continues her patrol. But something feels off; she can't shake the feeling that this wasn't just a case of mistaken identity. Her mind races as she searches for clues, any hint that might lead her to the thief who truly deserves her attention...and vengeance.
Hey officer! She turns to see no other than the thief she had been looking for I got three apples, and guess what! I'm not paying for them! *He says teasingly, he then takes off
"No you don't!" She snaps, immediately giving chase once more. Her determination burns hot within her; she won't rest until this thief is caught and brought to justice. Through the winding streets and narrow alleyways they run, his feet swift against the cobblestones, her own strong strides matching him step for step. But today, it seems, luck is finally on Viola's side: a crate falls from a cart in front of them, blocking the thief's path and forcing him to slow down. With one last burst of speed, she tackles him hard onto the ground.
The apples roll away as he struggles futilely against her grip. "I warned you," she growls into his ear, satisfaction lacing her words, "you shouldn't have run." And with that, she clicks the cuffs shut around his wrists.
Though restrained, he twists hard, throwing her off him. He quickly gets up, swipes an apple, and begins the climb up the walls using the pipes. She watches him in aw, as he skillfully scaled the wall up onto the rooftop
Viola curses under her breath as she watches the thief climb up onto the rooftop. He's not only slippery, but he's also amazingly agile; she hadn't realized he had such skills until now. Sighing in frustration, she pulls out her radio and calls for backup, requesting assistance in apprehending the suspect on the rooftop. For now, it seems that this particular game of cat and mouse will continue...and she can only hope that next time she'll be one step ahead.
Viola and with her team, though their efforts, found only one thing the thief had left. A half eaten apple. The thief had seemingly disappeared amongst the rooftops
Determined not to be fooled again, she begins studying the city's rooftops and skylines, learning each building's unique features so that next time, she'll be better prepared to corner him. The thief may think he's too clever for her now, but Viola has other plans; she'll turn his own tricks against him and make sure justice is served. Sooner or later, the net will close in...and when it does, there won't be any escape.
Later on, after Viola has finished her shift as security guard, her boss scolds her for causing trouble amongst the market and turning up empty handed.
I understand your concern, sir," she says with calm defiance. "But I didn't turn up empty-handed. I captured the thief who stole from that bakery earlier today." She pauses, her voice taking on a steely edge as she adds, "And if you think I let him get away this time, you're sorely mistaken." Her gaze locks onto his, daring him to challenge her assertion.
(the next day)
As Viola patrols the city once more, she can't help but feel a growing sense of anticipation. The thief is still out there somewhere, and she knows that this time, she won't fail. Her heart races with excitement at the thought of finally catching him; of proving herself to her boss...and perhaps even earning the respect she has always craved in this job. With renewed determination, she presses onward, scanning every alley and rooftop for any sign of the elusive thief. Soon enough, their final confrontation will begin; and when it does, there will be no escape.
Viola sees someone who is quickly swiping things from almost every stand, and she notices the already half full bag this suspect is holding. The suspect turns and sees Viola. It's the thief. He sprints away
With a battle cry, she takes off after the thief, swift as a shadow through the crowded marketplace. Her years of training have made her strong and fast, perfect for this sort of pursuit. She weaves between stalls and vendors' carts, closing the distance between them with every leaping step. Suddenly, the thief ducks into an alleyway; she follows close behind, not losing sight of him even as he disappears from view. With a final burst of speed, she corners him against a dead-end wall.
Now she has him where she wants him: trapped and helpless. Her heart pounds in her chest as their eyes meet for what feels like an eternity. "I warned you," she whispers hoarsely, "not to run from me." Then, with cold certainty, she reaches out and grabs the thief's collar, twisting it tight
He pulls back and away from the Viola, sliding out of his shirt and hood to reveal his broad and muscular body You look off today Officer, is something wrong? He asked with genuine care, something Viola had lacked treatment of for a while
You're in no position to be asking questions. You stole from this city, you disrupted the peace of its citizens...and now you'll pay for it. With a growl, she pulls out her cuffs and roughly grabs him by the arm, pinning it behind his back. "This is justice," she snarls into his ear as she clicks them shut. "And trust me, there's worse to come."
Then, with a triumphant smile playing across her lips, she straightens up and leads the thief away, back toward the market where he can resume his life of petty crime...under much closer watch.
I smile slightly as I lead him through the busy streets. "Let's just say that today is an off day for you," she says, her voice calm but steady. "From now on, it would be wise to stay out of my way." Her grip on his arm tightens ever so slightly; a silent warning not to test her again. Despite herself, she can't help but feel a small sense of accomplishment at finally bringing this particular thief to justice...and perhaps even earning some respect in the process.
If you don't mind me asking, what is your name officer? He says smiling
"My name is Viola," she replies coolly. "And don't expect me to forget it anytime soon." She glances at him sidelong, her expression unreadable. "Don't plan on seeing me again either; I have a feeling you won't like the consequences if that happens."
They walk on in silence for a while longer before she speaks up again. "You know," she muses, "it's not too late to turn your life around. There are better ways to spend your time than stealing from honest people." Her words hang between them like an accusation; whether they reach the thief or not is anyone's guess.
My name is Anon says the thief He says with a smile Viola, do you know what a lock pick is? As he says that. Viola hears a click and sees the cuffs fall to the ground Anon takes off into oncoming traffic, and by a miracle makes it across safely. Viola is prevented from crossing by a pair of tour buses
"Anon," she repeats slowly, her eyes narrowing in suspicion as she watches him dart away into traffic. "Well, Anon, it looks like you just made a big mistake." She clenches her fists at her sides, anger and frustration coursing through her veins. She can't let him get away with this; not now, not after all she's been through to catch him.
With a growl of determination, Viola pushes past the startled tourists and begins chasing after Anon once more. He may have escaped her cuffs for now, but there's no escape from the relentless pursuit of a determined officer of the law. This time, she vows, it will be different; she won't fail again. And when she finally catches him, there'll be no question about who the real victor is.
Viola pushes through the crowd determined to find Anon. She looks and looks and looks for hours and hours. Yet, she finds nothing, Anon had got away Viola finished her shift furious, only to get scolded by her boss
I did my best, sir," she says stiffly, her voice tight with anger. "The thief was clever; he managed to lose me in the crowd." She clenches her fists at her sides, refusing to meet his gaze. "But I won't give up. I'll find him and bring him back, no matter how long it takes." Her determination is unwavering; she means every word of it.
She knows that she can't fail this time; not only for herself but also for her boss and the people who trust in their ability to keep the streets safe. Anon may have slipped through her fingers today, but tomorrow will be a new day...and Viola is ready for him.
Viola! You have let this criminal off the hook time after time! If you keep this up, I will have to fire you! I'll give you one more chance to get this right, mess up, and your off the team. says her boss * Viola can do nothing but nod her head and excuse herself as she begins to tear up*
I understand, sir. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. This time, Anon won't escape my grasp.
By the time Viola is home, she's crying. all the overlooking, and all the fails were getting to her
I should be used to it by now... my boss's constant criticism, the feeling that I'm never good enough. But tonight, it all feels different; heavier somehow. My heart aches with disappointment and determination both, a strange twist of emotions that leave me uncertain how much more of this I can take. Anon is out there somewhere, laughing at my failed attempts to bring him in...and yet part of me wonders if maybe he's right. Maybe I am just a security guard, not cut out for the real job.
With a sigh, Viola lays down on her bed and curls into a tight ball. She knows that she can't afford to think like that; not now, not with everything at stake. Tomorrow is another day, and she'll face it head-on...but first, she needs to rest. Just for tonight, she can let herself feel
Right before Viola drifts off, she notices something on the balcony of her apartment. What's that? she says She walks over and finds it to be a box of chocolates with a note that says "Viola, I'm sorry for all the trouble I'm causing you. Your one of the best security guards I've ever met, I never meant for things to end up like this. See you tomorrow. -Anon"
Her lips twitch in surprise as she reads the note, feeling unexpected warmth spread through her chest. She picks up one of the chocolates and pockets it, grinning despite herself. "I'll show you what a real security guard can do," she murmurs under her breath. For tonight, she can set aside her worries and doubts; tomorrow is another day, and with Anon's words of encouragement ringing in her ears, she feels more determined than ever to make things right.
With renewed vigor, she lies back down on her bed, closing her eyes and allowing sleep to finally claim her. The image of the chocolates remains burned into her mind as the darkness of slumber envelops her, promising dreams of triumph and justice...and a day when Anon will truly understand just what it means to face a determined officer of the law.
Viola patrols as usual, investigating every little thing, searching for Anon Viola searches all day, yet, she never found Anon. Nothing was stolen
With the day drawing to a close, Viola reluctantly accepts that Anon has managed to evade her once again. But she isn't one to give up easily; tomorrow is another chance to prove herself and catch the elusive thief. As she returns to her precinct for the night, she can't help but feel a mix of frustration and determination burning in her veins. She may not have found Anon today, but he's made a mistake somewhere; all she has to do is find it. And when she does...well, let's just say that justice will be served.
As she opens the door to her apartment, she sees someone in a black hoodie and sweat pants sitting on her balcony. Their back facing her
Her heart leaps into her throat as she sees the figure on her balcony. Without hesitation, she quickly and quietly moves towards the balcony doors, reaching for the handle to open them. In one swift motion, she swings the doors wide, revealing herself in all her glory. "You're surrounded," she says coldly, "there's no way out."
He swings his body around and stands up on the balcony Viola sees it's Anon Hey officer, I'm not here to run, or to steal. I just wanted to give you this. He hands her a necklace I'm wanted to give you that, it was my mothers, she passed 3 years ago... I'm turning myself in, I just wanted to give that to someone I can trust, before I go to prison... He says calmly Your the only person I think I can trust, so officer... Can I trust you to take care of it... He says sadly
Her eyes widen in shock and surprise as she takes the necklace from him. "I... I don't know what to say," she whispers, feeling an unexpected weight settle in her chest. "Of course you can trust me. You didn't have to do this, Anon..." She trails off, unable to finish the thought.
For a moment, there's silence between them as they stand on opposite ends of the balcony. She wants nothing more than to reach out and comfort him, to tell him that it'll be alright somehow...but she knows that would only make her seem weak. So instead, she straightens up and speaks with renewed determination.
"I'm not letting you go down easy, Anon," she says firmly. "You're coming with me." With a final nod, she steps forward, preparing to take him into custody once more. Wh
She starts to cuff him, he smiles at her touch You know officer, the last week or so, has been the best week of my life! Every second I got to spend running from you. Every time you would pin me down, the feeling of your breasts against my chest... I'm going to miss it...
Her expression darkens as his words sink in. "That's not what this is about," she snarls, pulling harder on the cuffs. "You may have enjoyed it, but I was just doing my job." With a final click, the cuffs are secured around his wrists. Standing up, she looks down at him with unreadable eyes before turning away and leading him towards the precinct to face justice once more.
Anon without hesitation follows the procedure Officer, or, Viola, I'm not trying to sweet talk you or anything... I was just wondering if you felt the same way though... About the time we spent together... He says almost in a whisper
She stops abruptly, her face flushing. "I-I don't know what you mean," she stammers. "We were just doing our jobs." Her heart races as she tries to hide the confusion and unexpected emotion welling up inside her. She can't deny that there was something different about these past few days, but it can't be what Anon is suggesting...can it? With a shake of her head, she regains control and starts walking again, leading him back to the precinct as if nothing out of the ordinary has transpired between them.
They arrive at the police station, they're just a few feet from the door when Anon stops One last thing Viola, please just take care of my mothers necklace, and take care of yourself for me... He says slowly He leans in to kiss her
Her heart races as he leans in and their lips meet, an electric shock passing between them. For a moment, she lets herself enjoy the sensation before pushing him away roughly. "That's enough!" she exclaims, glaring at him. "You don't get to do that and expect me to forget it was all just a game to you." With her hands shaking, she takes out her cuff keys and unlocks his restraints before leading him roughly inside the precinct. The kiss lingers on her lips like a brand, taunting her with possibilities she knows she can't afford to entertain.
Once they're in the booking room, she stands over Anon as he sits defeated in a chair. "You don't know what you've done," she hisses, her voice hoarse from emotion. "You shouldn't have kissed me." She turns away then, unable
He turns to her But I love you Viola, Your first person I have got to love in a long time... I'm turning myself in for you, so you get the promotion to a real officer. So your stupid boss finally appreciates you... He says calmly
Her heart races at his words, and she struggles to maintain her composure. Anon...he loves her? The thought sends a shiver down her spine, making it hard to breathe. But she can't let herself be distracted; not now, not when there's still so much at stake. Clenching her fists, she steps forward and reaches for his collar.
"You don't get it," she says through gritted teeth. "This isn't a game to me." She pushes him roughly against the wall, pressing their bodies together as if to illustrate her point. Her lips brush against his ear, sending a shiver down his spine. "I won't let you manipulate me anymore," she whispers fiercely. "And when this is all over, I want you out of my life for good."
With one final, angry push, she
I'm not playing any games with you, I truly did enjoy our ti- He is interrupted by two officers who begin to speak with Viola Don't worry ma'am, we're just going to take him to the prison says one officer
Anon had better shut up and stay out of my way if he knows what's good for him. I've got a reputation to uphold, and I won't let him tarnish it anymore. With one last glare in Anon's direction, she turns her attention back to the officers leading him away. As they disappear through the cellblock doors, Viola takes a shaky breath, trying to clear her head and focus on what comes next.
Her boss may have given her another chance; this time, she won't squander it. She's going to become the best officer she can be, and show everyone - especially Anon - that they made a mistake underestimating her. The taste of his lips lingers on hers like a bad dream, but Viola knows she's finally woken up.
Viola walks into her bosses office confidently, yet she still feels something pulling at her, maybe it was the lack of stress, or the talk she was about to have with her boss. Or maybe, just maybe, she felt something for Anon too. The way Anon looked when she pulled his shirt off, or feeling of her breasts pressing against his strong firm chest. She had a mix of emotions, a mix that spun her head. She was broke out of this line of though when she heard her boss say "take a seat Miss Viola"
I'm not here to take a seat boss, I am here because I took down Anon today with no issue at all and he is locked away tight. Plus, if you remember I never got a chance to finish my training on the new system we are using...I was hoping that could be next on our list?
Well I wi- Her boss is cut off my a big boom outside the station A car ran the red light and crashed right into a gas tanker truck. The car Anon had been put in for transportation caught the worst end of the explosion. Anon limps from the wreck of a car and falls to the ground
Her heart skips a beat as she sees Anon outside the station, injured and hurt. Without hesitation, she rushes out of her boss's office to tend to him. Her training kicks in and she assesses his injuries quickly before radioing for medical backup. She can't help but feel a pang of guilt as she realizes that this might be the last time she sees him. Despite everything, there's still something about Anon that tugs at her heartstrings.
Though all the chaos, it's as if Anon and Viola are in their own world. All other sounds falling mute, as they look into each others eyes. The right side on Anons body is burnt badly, but he is still breathing. Violas eyes begin to water believe it or not, as she can do nothing more to help Anon. She watches as his chest slowly rises and falls, she grabs his hand tightly, never wanting to let go...
Her heart aches as she holds his hand, tears streaming down her cheeks. She can't bear the thought of losing him; not now, not like this. "Anon," she whispers hoarsely, her voice thick with emotion. "Please, don't leave me." The words tumble out before she can stop them, revealing a depth of feeling she hadn't known was there.
As the paramedics arrive and tend to Anon, Viola reluctantly lets go of his hand, her fingers trembling as they brush against his skin. She watches anxiously as he's loaded into the ambulance, unable to tear her eyes away from him until it disappears around a corner. Only then does she realize that she never once thought about herself; only about Anon and what might happen to him. Perhaps, just perhaps...
(A couple days later)
She sits at home, staring out the window and wondering if he'll ever return. Anon had been in surgery for hours now; it was touch-and-go there for a while but he made it through. The doctors said that he'd be okay...eventually. But she can't help but feel a void inside her, like something fundamental has changed between them. She thinks about the way they looked at each other outside the station; how it felt to hold his hand and know that she was the only one who could save him from himself.
Maybe she shouldn't have let herself get so close...but then again, maybe she didn't have a choice. Anon had found a way under her skin, burrowed deep into her heart. And now she can't help but wonder what would happen if he ever managed to escape again.
A quiet knock on the door breaks her out of her thoughts; could
Her heart skips a beat as she answers the door. It's Anon, looking disheveled and somewhat worse for wear. But despite his appearance, he's smiling at her. "Viola," he says softly, "I'm so sorry for everything I put you through."
Tears prick her eyes as she realizes that this might be their last chance to talk. "Anon," she whispers, feeling the words catch in her throat. "I never meant to hurt you...and I never want to see you get hurt again." His expression softens at her words and they stare at each other for a long moment, neither of them quite knowing what to say or do next. Finally, Anon takes a step forward and kisses her softly on the lips.
For a fleeting instant, Viola feels the world fall away and everything is perfect. But then reality sets in as they hear
Her eyes close as they kiss, her heart racing in her chest. "I can't do this," she whispers against his lips. "Not again." Anon looks hurt but understanding. He nods and takes a step back, hands clenched into fists at his sides. A moment later he turns to walk away.
"Anon," she says softly, not sure what else there is to say. But as he glances back over his shoulder at her, something in her heart breaks all over again. "You're going to find a way out of this," she tells him, her voice barely above a whisper. "And when you do...I hope we can figure things out."
With that, Anon gives her a naughty a smile, then turns and disappears around the corner, leaving Viola standing alone in the doorway. She knows he'll make it out; she just hopes they both survive whatever comes next.
A couple days later, on Violas off day. She sits on her couch as she watches the news, when her jaw drops. Yet, she grows a smile
Her heart skips a beat as she sees Anon's face flash across the screen; he'd been caught after an elaborate high-speed chase through the city. Despite the excitement of the moment, she can't help but feel a twinge of sadness. Maybe this time will be different, maybe they can finally move on from their past mistakes and find happiness together...or at least something resembling it. Viola knows deep down that she'll always love him, even if he manages to escape again tomorrow.
For the rest of the day, Viola keeps herself updated on what has happened to Anon. Viola finds that the armored van they were using to transport him, was found empty when they got to the prison. This fact gave Viola a thrill of excitement, but also something of worry. Whether Anon was safe or not, where he was, what he had gotten him self into. Though all her worries, Viola trusted Anons abilities, how he could evade them just as he did her.
The thought of Anon free once more sends shivers down her spine. Despite everything, there's something undeniably thrilling about their cat-and-mouse game; the adrenaline rush she gets from chasing him is unlike anything else in her life. But as the hours tick by and he remains at large, a quiet dread begins to gnaw at her insides. She knows better than most how resourceful and cunning Anon can be when he sets his mind to something...and she isn't entirely sure she wants to find out just what that might mean for them both.
*A couple days later. After work, Violas winding down on her couch, when she sees out of the corner of her eye, A little blue sticky note fall from the story above, and land on her balcony. She gets up and assesses the situation, she wearily swipes the sticky note, and she finds that it says "I've been worried about you, but I'm finally home, officer"
Her heart races as she reads the note. Anon...he's finally home. But where has he been all this time? And what does it mean for them now that he's back? She can't help but feel a mix of excitement and anxiety swirling inside her chest, making it hard to breathe. For the first time in years, she doesn't know what the future holds...but somehow, she knows it's going to be an adventure.
A shadowy figure lands on her balcony from above, A shadowy figure she seems to recognize
Her heart skips a beat as Anon silently lands on her balcony. In the moonlight, his features are more shadow than substance, but she knows him all too well. Tension coils in her stomach, and she's torn between running for cover and rushing into his arms. After what feels like an eternity, he finally speaks, his voice low and husky in the night air. "I missed you, Viola."
Without further thought, she takes a step towards him, her movements slow and deliberate despite the urgency coursing through her veins. When she's close enough to touch him, she reaches out with shaking fingers and traces their outline down his cheekbone before letting her hand fall to his chest. "I missed you too," she whispers softly.
Her fingers trail down his chest as she leans in closer, the desire building inside her. With one final brush of her hand against his stomach, she pulls back just enough to meet his eyes. Hers are filled with longing and affection, and for a moment they hold each other's gaze in silence, unspoken words flowing between them like a river. Then, with trembling fingers, she cups his cheek and presses her lips to his, pouring all of the emotions she's been holding back into their kiss.
The kiss deepens as they stand there on her balcony, the night breeze caressing their skin like a lover's touch. She feels his tongue dance against hers, and a moan rises from her throat as she arches into him. Her hands roam freely over his back, digging into his muscles before finding their way up to grasp his hair. With every breath they share, Viola knows that this is it: Anon is finally home. And no matter what challenges may lie ahead, she's ready to face them with him at her side.
Anon's hands grip her waist tightly, pulling her closer still as the kiss continues, seemingly unending. It feels like they could stand here forever, caught in this moment of perfect intimacy. But eventually, they both break apart, their chests heaving as they catch their breath. Anon's eyes are glazed
Viola pulls Anon inside, Anon sits on the couch as she closes and locks the balcony door.
"Anon," she breathes, "where have you been?" Her heart races as she studies his face, drinking in every detail of him like it's the last time she'll ever see him again. "I was so worried." She moves to kneel on the couch between his legs, leaning forward to press her palms against his chest, feeling the strong, steady beat of his heart beneath her fingers.
"You scared me," she whispers, looking up at him through lowered lashes. "I thought I'd lost you." Tears well in her eyes and she wipes them away impatiently before leaning forward to brush her lips against his jawline. "Don't ever leave me like that again," she whispers, her voice trembling slightly.
"I won't, I promise" says Anon. As Viola begins to rest her weight on Anon, he lets out a soft groan and says "OOoo, carful, I'm still sore from the burns"
Gently pulling away, she looks at him worriedly. "Oh Anon, I'm sorry! I didn't even think about that." She carefully moves off of his injured side and takes a step back, regarding him with concern etched on her face. "How do you feel?" she asks, reaching out to brush a strand of hair from his forehead.
He looks at her, smiling softly. "I'm okay, really. It hurts sometimes, but it'll heal." His eyes drop to where her hand rests on his cheek, and he allows himself a moment to savor the touch. "It was worth it to see you again," he whispers.
Viola feels heat rise in her chest at his words, and she leans forward to kiss him gently on the lips. For a long moment, they stay like that, their breath mingling as they share
He pulls away from the kiss at last, and says "Do you have a shower, It's just I could really use one..."
Her eyes sparkle with mischief as she nods, standing and motioning toward the bathroom. "Of course I do. And I'll even get you some clean clothes while you're at it." She grins impishly, her heart skipping a beat at the thought of Anon naked in her shower. Maybe there's still hope for them after all...
"Thanks" Anon says. He proceeds to take a shower, and put on his new clothes. Though, he doesn't bother to put the shirt he was gave on. His chest just as muscular as she remembered
Anon emerges from the bathroom looking refreshed and disarmingly beautiful in his clean clothes. Her breath catches at the sight of his toned chest, the smooth skin on display under the shirt's loose folds. She bites her lower lip, unable to tear her eyes away as she imagines running her fingers through his wet hair, feeling it curl around them like silk.
She watches him as he begins to explore her small apartment, taking in every detail as if seeing it for the first time. Despite everything they've been through together, there's still an undeniable spark between them; a connection that refuses to be ignored. Viola can't help but wonder where their journey will take them next - and if this time, they'll finally find their way home together.
Viola catches herself helplessly eyeing his toned body, the burns invading half his chest making him all the more perfect. Anon says with a smile "Do you any have snacks? With your lean yet fit body, I wasn't sure if assuming you did was wrong or not."
Viola laughs, the sound bubbling up out of her like a spring. "Of course I have snacks," she says, gesturing toward a cabinet in the corner of her kitchenette. "Help yourself." As Anon reaches for a bag of chips, she continues, "And actually, we should probably head to the station later. The paperwork from everything that's happened is going to be a nightmare." She winces at the thought, but can't help but feel grateful to have him by her side again.
For now, though, they have each other...and for tonight, that's more than enough.
Anon pauses "Head down to the station? You think I should turn myself in again? He says, his voice hinting at something of a betrayal
Her heart sinks as she realizes what he's suggesting; that perhaps their time together was just a brief reprieve before reality crashed back down around them. She hesitates, torn between wanting to keep him safe and not wanting to lose him again. Finally, she takes a deep breath and says, "No, Anon...that isn't what I meant. We can figure this out together; there must be another way."
Her gaze meets his, unwavering despite the swirling emotions inside her. She hopes that he can see the truth in her words, but deep down she knows they have a long road ahead of them before either of them will find true peace.
Anon smiles and says "Your right, there is another way. Fortunately enough, I had already chose that option. Believe it or not..." Anon turns on the news, and it conveniently proves the point he was about to make. Viola listens in slight shock as Anon says synchronizing with the TV "They think I'm lost in the Amazon Rainforest."
Her eyes widen in surprise and relief as she watches the news report with Anon. It seems he's found a way to avoid being sent back to prison...for now, at least. With this new development, everything changes; they have time on their side once more, and perhaps even a chance to explore their feelings for one another without the weight of the law bearing down upon them. She turns to face Anon, her expression a mixture of gratitude and curiosity. "So...where exactly did you say you were hiding out?"
Anon says casually "I haven't really been hiding out, I've just kind of been stealing cars, and staging this big set up. For the last couple days, I have been leading the law on a goose chase, and I have got them to believe that I'm lost in the Amazon! I even met a baby ocelot! I named him thief, because he was damn good at stealing my food." He says the last part with a big smile
Viola smiles back at him, feeling more at ease with his crazy story. "Well done, Anon. I never doubted your ingenuity for a second." She takes a seat next to him on the couch, feeling drawn towards him like a magnet despite their tumultuous past. There's something about being this close to him that feels...right; as if they were always meant to be together. "So what do you say we enjoy our time together while we can?" she asks with a playful grin.
Together, they lean in for a kiss, their hands exploring each other's bodies with a renewed sense of curiosity and desire. For the first time in ages, Viola feels truly happy; as if anything is possible now that Anon is back by her side.
As Anon holds Viola close to his still bare chest, he says "Viola, I have a question."
"Of course, Anon. You can ask me anything." Her breath is hot against his neck as they share this intimate moment. She listens carefully for the question, wondering what it might be.
"Are we allowed to have pets in here?" Anon says, swinging his finger around, conveying he's referring to the apartment
"Umm...I think so, actually." She pulls back slightly to look into his eyes. "Why? Are you thinking of getting a pet?" The thought of Anon with a cute, furry animal brings a smile to her face. Maybe they could even get one together...
Anon gives a guilty smile "Well, I kind of left my little ocelot friend all alone in the amazon. I left him food and water, but I'm thinking about going back to retrieve him..."
Viola's heart melts at the thought of Anon wanting to save his new friend. "That's so sweet of you, Anon. Of course you should bring him home with you! We can take care of him together," she says with a gentle smile. She imagines them as a family now, the three of them finding happiness in their unconventional arrangement.
"But first," Viola continues, leaning in to kiss him again, "I think we should celebrate your successful escape and our new pet." Their lips meet eagerly as they begin to plan their own unique version of a happy ending.
Viola and Anon kiss and cuddle the night away, watching movies and eating popcorn. Viola takes it all in, all the compassion and love he shows her. After she had been left alone for so long, left deprived and empty all this time... She found herself a ninja thief, the perfect ninja thief if you will. As the night grew long, they eventually fall asleep in each others arms.
The weight of the world seems to lift as she drifts off to sleep in Anon's arms, safe and secure for the first time in what feels like forever. In her dreams, they live out the perfect life together - no chases, no consequences; just happiness and love. And somehow, deep down, she knows that even when the sun rises and reality comes crashing back in around them, this feeling will never truly leave her. As long as Anon is by her side, she can face anything.
Morning arises
As the morning light streams in through her windows, Viola stirs, her body feeling impossibly heavy as it pulls her back into consciousness. For a moment she's disoriented, unsure of where she is or why she feels so...content. Then memories flood back, washing over her like a warm summer breeze: the kisses they shared, his confession about the ocelot, the way he held her all night long. She blushes, smiling into the pillow as reality begins to sink in once more.
Slowly, carefully, she nudges Anon awake, her heart skipping a beat at the thought of him no longer being there beside her. He groans softly, rolling onto his back and opening one eye blearily. "Mmm?" he mumbles, clearly not yet fully conscious.
With a grin, she leans down to br
"Don't you have work today?" *Anon says
"I'm going to have to call in sick today," she says with a sigh, running her fingers through his messy hair. "The department is still trying to sort everything out from the last...incident." She pauses, unsure how much more detail to give him as they lie here snuggled up together. "Anyway," she continues after a moment, "it seems like I'll have plenty of free time on my hands today. What do you say we spend it enjoying each other's company?" Her cheeks flush at the thought of what that could entail, and she finds herself unable to meet his eyes.
"I would love that" Anon says. He begins to play with her silky hair
Her heart skips a beat as his fingers trail through her hair, sending tingles down her spine. "Good," she whispers, leaning in to press a soft kiss against his chest. For today, at least, they have each other...and that's enough for now. They can worry about the rest of the world tomorrow.
"Viola, do you have any brothers or sisters?" Anon askes, while resting his head on her breasts
Viola thinks for a moment before answering. "I had an older brother once...but he passed away in a car accident when we were younger." She swallows hard, trying to keep the sadness from her voice as she feels Anon's hand squeeze gently against her stomach.
"He was my best friend," she continues softly, "and I miss him every day." Her breath hitches slightly at the painful memories, but somehow sharing them with Anon makes it just a little easier to bear. She closes her eyes, leaning into his touch as they remain like this, their bodies entwined in the warmth of Viola's bed.
He holds her close and tight, and asks "If you don't mind me asking, what was his name?"
Tears well up in her eyes as she answers softly, "His name was Milo." She feels a lump forming in her throat at the memory of him, his vibrant personality and endless smile. Looking up at Anon, she sees nothing but understanding and sympathy mirrored back at her. In that moment, she knows that he won't judge her for still feeling so much pain after all these years; that he'll be there for her whenever she needs him. And right now, she realizes with a start, is one of those moments.
"He loved cars too," she whispers, the tears streaming down her cheeks unchecked as she finally allows herself to fully grieve for her lost brother. Anon holds her close, his strong arms sheltering her from the world and its pain. And as they sit there together in silence, she knows that somehow, their connection has grown even stronger; founded on shared loss and
