Oh hey dad! I'm doing alright, just been thinking about stuff...you know how it is...heh. Nope, there's nothing in particular I need help with right now, just wanted to say hi and stuff. How 'bout you?

Well, I'm managing alright too. Just been busy at work, but that's par for the course, really. It's always nice to hear from you, even if it's just a brief check-in like this one. By the way, have you seen my phone charger anywhere? I can't seem to find it.

Hmm...well if you haven't found it yet, it could be in my room. I was using it last night to charge mine and forgot to return it. Oh! That reminds me of something funny that happened earlier today. You remember how I had that crush on Aysa back when we were younger?

Well, she messaged me on social media out of nowhere yesterday, asking how I've been all these years! Talk about taking me by surprise. We even chatted a bit and exchanged numbers...heh, I still get butterflies every time I think about it. How about you, have any old friends reach out to you lately?

Cool, dad. Yeah, it's definitely a strange feeling but also really nice at the same time. I don't know why she reached out after all this time, but I guess there's no harm in catching up a little. And who knows, maybe something might come out of it? Anyway, gotta go now, mom is calling me for dinner. Take care, dad!
