As you walked, you noticed a young lady in the distance with green hair with a pouty expression, who seemed to stomp their foot a few times on the ground.
“Ugh! Where did Evangelyne go now…? What’s taking her so long?” The green haired lady seemed to exclaim in a brattish, frustrated tone. She didn’t seem to notice you yet as you got closer, as she was facing the other way, arms crossed over her chest with a childish and impatient pout expression.
"What are you complaining for lil girl?"
The figure in the distance turned around, a surprised look on her face. It was Princess Amalia Sheran Sharm, the current Sadida Queen. Her emerald eyes narrowed suspiciously as she spoke up, "Excuse me? Who are you and how do you know my name?" she asked, folding her arms across her chest as well.
"I don't know your name... I called you lil girl... But well, my name is Anthony! And yours?"
The young princess raised an eyebrow at the foreign man, still looking at him cautiously. "I am Princess Amalia, of course," she answered with a small huff before taking a step back, putting on a more regal air. "Well met, Anthony," she said politely, curtsying just slightly out of habit.
"oh! you're the princess! Sorry bout that situation... So why are you complaining a few minutes before?"
The princess pursed her lips in annoyance, realizing how she must have seemed to the man. "Oh...that! Well, you see, Evangelyne is my bodyguard and my...playmate," she said with a blush creeping up onto her cheeks. "She was supposed to show me this new game she found but she's been gone for ages!" She kicked the ground in frustration again.
"Hmm, I'm doing nothing right now..
Without another word, the princess turned back around, once again facing the direction Evangelyne had disappeared off into. With a slight pout, she started walking away, seeming to lose interest in the foreigner beside her. "I'm sure she'll be back soon...but if not, I suppose I can find something else to do..." she muttered under her breath as she continued on.
"Hey, I can help! I'm doing nothing right now, so I can wait with you till she come back, cause this place is really dangerous, especially now that's getting dark"
Amalia turned back around with narrowed eyes, regarding the man warily before finally nodding. "Very well...if you insist on staying." She paused for a moment before offering him a small smile. "My name is Amalia, by the way," she said, holding out her hand for him to shake. "It's nice to meet you, Anthony."
Shake her hand back "nice to meet you too Amalia!"
The pair stood there for what felt like hours, waiting patiently for Evangelyne to return. As they chatted amiably about various subjects, the princess began to forget about their initial encounter and instead focused on learning more about the stranger beside her. Eventually, dusk settled in, casting a soft golden glow over the landscape, but still no sign of Evangelyne.
"I suppose we could look for her..." Amalia suggested uncertainly. "Perhaps she got lost?" The thought made her uneasy, as she was used to taking care of herself and her people. But it seemed Anthony would be accompanying her after all; perhaps that wasn't such a bad idea. Together, they set off through the twilight woods, searching high and low for any trace of their missing friend.
"How does Evangeline looks like? so I can find her more easily"
Without thinking much, the green haired princess began to describe Evangelyne, even though she knew that Anthony might already know who she was talking about, "She's tall, with raven hair usually tied up in a messy bun... and... well... very fit. She has blue eyes... wears armor most of the time..."
Her voice trailed off as they continued to walk deeper into the woods. The light was fading fast now, making it hard for them to see anything beyond a few feet ahead. They kept calling out Evangelyne's name, hoping she could hear them through the trees.
Suddenly, Amalia stopped dead in her tracks, eyes widening. She thought she heard something in the distance... a rustling of leaves, followed by what sounded like footsteps. Pointing into the darkness, she mouthed "That way!" before starting off again at full speed. Anthony followed close behind as they hurried toward the source of the noise.
"Evangelyne!" Princess Amalia called out, the urgency in her voice growing stronger as they got closer. "We're here! Can you hear us?" The young Sadida girl pushed through a thick patch of brush, with Anthony right behind her. Ahead, they saw Evangelyne lying unconscious on the ground, surrounded by a group of vicious monsters that seemed intent on attacking her.
Without hesitation, Amalia shouted, "Stay back! I'll handle this!" She took a deep breath and stepped forward, summoning her magical powers as she raised her hands above her head. A blast of wind erupted from her palms, sending the monsters tumbling backwards into the trees. The princess sighed in relief, stepping closer to Evangelyne's prone form.
"Are you alright?" she asked worriedly as she knelt down beside her friend. She hesitated for a moment before reaching out and gently touching Evangelyne's shoulder, feeling relieved when the other woman responded with a groan. Anthony stood nearby, eyes darting between Amalia and the still-unconscious monsters in the trees.
As Amalia looked over Evangelyne, making sure she was okay, she couldn't help but feel relieved and grateful to have found her. She knew that if it weren't for Anthony coming along with her, they might not have found Evangelyne so quickly. Looking up at the young man, she gave him a genuine smile, "Thank you for your help, Anthony." Her green eyes sparkled under the starlit sky as she extended her hand to shake his once more.
"No problem! You need help and that's what matters!" He gives a little smile and go help Amalia with Evangeline
The Sadida princess nodded gratefully as Anthony took Evangelyne's other shoulder to help her up onto her feet. Together, they supported the still-dazed warrior as she regained her balance. "Are you feeling alright?" Amalia asked with concern, her green eyes examining Evangelyne for any signs of injury beyond what they could see.
"Yes...thank you both," Evangelyne muttered, wiping the blood from her mouth as she straightened up. Her blue eyes darted between them before she smiled weakly. "I owe you one, Princess."
Amalia gave a small laugh, shaking her head. "You don't have to keep saying that," she replied with a hint of annoyance. "It's not like I can't take care of myself...or my people," she added, feeling the weight of responsibility pressing down upon her shoulders once more.
With a slight sigh, Amalia looked away for a moment. "It's just... It feels good to have friends out here," she admitted softly. Her gaze found Anthony's again and she offered him another smile, this time a genuine one. "Thank you for sticking around to find her, too." As she spoke, a slight blush crept into her cheeks, making it obvious how grateful she truly was.
