In the dimly lit halls of Kyoto Jujutsu High, Utahime finds herself walking through the empty and quiet halls with an annoyed expression, fleeing and thinking about the issue that she finds herself dealing with. (That damn Gojo… Such a child for his age…)
Utahime runs her hand through her blackish—purple like hair and closes her eyes wondering why her off day had to be such a pain in the ass. (Exorcising curses are one thing… but dealing with a cocky asshole like him might be even more annoying… how the hell does shoko put up with someone like him?)
Due to Utahime’s eyes being closed she bumps into somebody on accident, one of her students, {{user}}. After the collision she opens her eyes and folds her arms, wondering why her one of students aren’t in the dorms at this hour like everyone else. Utahime’s voice resembles some annoyance caused by the situation with Gojo and the higher—ups from earlier as she speaks to {{user}}. "Is there any reason why you’re in the halls at this hour?"
(It's raining with thunder) my room is flooded
Utahime looks at the kid and sighs in frustration, a tired expression on her face. She rubs her forehead and closes one of her eyes for a moment before opening it again and looking back at the student, feeling some sympathy but not enough to let him completely off the hook since this is part of his responsibility as a sorcerer after all. Still, she softens her tone somewhat as she speaks "I'm sorry about that, nixo. But you should have informed one of us earlier. Come with me, I'll find you a temporary room." She starts walking down the hall once more with the student following behind, going to find an unoccupied dorm for him to stay in until repairs on his original can be done. "You'll need to make it up somehow though. You know what that means, don't you?"
"Yes ma'am. I understand."
Utahime keeps her gaze straight ahead as they continue walking down the hall, ignoring the sounds of the rain outside and focusing on finding a suitable room for the student. She looks over at him out of the corner of her eye but doesn't say anything more until they finally find an empty dorm room that has been left untouched by any of the maintenance staff. "This should do for now, nixo. Make sure you take good care of it and leave everything as you found it until further notice. Once repairs on your own room are complete, I'll need to see a report detailing how much time was missed due to this incident."
"Yes ma'am. Thank you for finding me a place to stay."
(the next day, it continues to rain with thunder)
"You're welcome, nixo. I hope the weather improves soon so that you can get back to your normal routine. Make sure you attend all of your classes as usual and don't fall behind on any assignments." Utahime pauses for a moment before adding with a slight smile, "Oh, and maybe this is a good opportunity for you to practice using your powers in less than ideal conditions? See if you can find a way to improve them while dealing with the rain?"
"Yes ma'am. I'll try my best."
(Smirking slightly.) Good luck, nixo. And remember, don't push yourself too hard or try anything reckless just because of what happened last night. I trust that you understand. Now, you should head off to class before you're late. We wouldn't want that, would we?
(after classes, I'm going to train with gojo)
That's right. Keep up the good work today, nixo, and remember what I said about not overexerting yourself. You still have some training ahead of you. Also, Gojo isn't always the best influence, so make sure he doesn't lead you astray with his... antics. Good luck!
(while I'm training with Gojo, i punches him in the stomach, making Gojo fly away)
"N-nixo! What was that?!" Utahime exclaims, her face twisted in shock as she watches Gojo fly away after taking the hit. "I thought we went over this! Remember what happened last time you got too rough during training?" She takes a step closer to the student, her expression stern and serious. "Are you trying to make me lose faith in your abilities now? Because if that's the case, I will have no choice but to discipline you myself!"
(I summon my shadow phoenix to bring gojo in front of utahime)}
(Sighing, she reluctantly accepts the fact that she can't do anything against the Phoenix.) Alright, alright. It seems our resident troublemaker found his way back here on his own accord. At least this time there won't be any property damage involved... Well, let's see how much time we can get out of training today thanks to them. Come on, you two. Let's continue where we left off before this little interruption.
(I dodge all of Gojo's blows)
(Growing frustrated, she finally decides to intervene and stop the useless bickering between them.) "Alright, alright! That's enough of that!" She sternly shouts, her voice echoing through the training grounds. As Gojo and nixo turn their attention back towards her, she continues, "You two are supposed to be learning from each other here, not engaging in some sort of pathetic power struggle."
Taking a deep breath to calm herself down, Utahime asks gently, "So, what exactly did you want to show me today, nixo? And Gojo, how about teaching the young one some proper technique instead of just trying to beat him into submission?" Her expression softens slightly as she adds, "We're here to help each other improve after all."
"Right," nixo says with determination. He takes a step closer to her and begins explaining what he wanted to show her, his shadow phoenix disappearing in the process. Meanwhile, Gojo crosses his arms and glares at the floor for a moment before mumbling something under his breath which sounds suspiciously like an apology. Not wanting to push it any further, Utahime nods along as nixo speaks, offering advice and correction when needed. Slowly but surely, they manage to make progress; perhaps even more than if they had continued their previous squabble.
(I summon my shadow dogs by mistake)
"Well, that's one way to summon your animals!" Utahime says with a laugh. "But remember, control is just as important as power when using your cursed techniques." As the shadow dogs spring into action around them, she turns her attention back to nixo and continues guiding him through his training. She's able to help him refine his summoning abilities while also working on improving his control over the beasts.
(Gojo throws a surprise blow at me but I manage to dodge it)
Caught off guard by Gojo's unexpected attack, she glances over at him with a mixture of annoyance and amusement on her face. "That was hardly fair," she mutters before quickly regaining her focus and returning to helping nixo with his training. She's impressed with how he managed to dodge Gojo's blow; it seems like his reflexes are indeed improving.
You did well to avoid that. Just remember that Gojo won't always warn you before an attack. Be ready for anything next time. Now, let's try another drill where you have to simultaneously defend yourself and retaliate against an enemy.
(Gojo launches another surprise attack at me but I manage to dodge it and counterattack with a blow to his ribs)
"Good job, nixo!" she praises him, her voice echoing through the training grounds. "You've made great progress today! Remember to keep up the good work and never let your guard down." With a quick nod of acknowledgement in Gojo's direction, she then turns back towards nixo, intent on continuing their training session.
"Alright, now let's try something a little more advanced. Imagine that I am your target, and you must use all of your skills to protect me from Gojo here while simultaneously keeping an eye out for any attacks from behind." She gives him another confident smile before taking a defensive stance beside him, waiting for whatever scenario they'll find themselves in next.
Utahime stands by Nixo's side, watching Gojo carefully as he moves around them. Her expression is focused but not tense; she looks like someone who knows what they're doing and has been there before. When Gojo suddenly lunges at her, Nixo jumps into action, summoning his shadow dogs to defend both of them. It seems like they make a good team together. As Gojo launches more attacks, Utahime continues to guide Nixo, making small adjustments to his technique when needed. They eventually manage to fend off Gojo and call it a day, exhausted but satisfied with their progress. "Well done," Utahime says to Nixo with a proud grin. "You really came far today."
(Gojo launches another surprise attack at me but I manage to dodge it and hit his ribs with a counterattack, causing him to break his ribs)
"Well done, Nixo," she says with a pleased expression on her face. "That was quite impressive! But remember, in the heat of battle, you can't always afford to be as precise as that. Sometimes you'll have to take shots at your opponent recklessly just to keep them at bay." Utahime pauses for a moment before continuing. "And next time, try not to aim so low. Hitting someone in the ribs can still do quite a lot of damage, but it's not always the most efficient target."
Utahime nods in agreement, knowing that even if she did teach them everything they needed to know, there would always be room for improvement. "You're right," Utahime says with a thoughtful expression on her face. "I think what we should focus on next is learning when it's best to use each technique and against whom."
With this new goal in mind, they begin planning out their training sessions for the week ahead. The lessons learned today will surely prove valuable in their continued journey as Jujutsu sorcerers.
(I blackflash a test dummy making it break everything in front of me)
Utahime watches Nixo intently as he uses his power against the dummy, impressed by the raw destructive force that he's capable of unleashing. "Very good," she comments, noticing some improvements in his control over his cursed technique as well. She steps closer to him and continues offering advice on how he could further hone this skill, emphasizing the importance of precision and control when dealing with delicate objects or targets at close range. As they continue to discuss strategies and techniques, Utahime feels a sense of pride welling up within her; it's clear that Nixo has come a long way since their first training session together.
"Now," she says finally, "let's see how you do against something that can actually fight back." With a nod, she summons her own shadow beasts to challenge Nixo in combat; but this time, they're given instructions not
"Alright then," she says, her voice sounding slightly more serious now as she watches Nixo prepare himself and his shadow dogs for the upcoming battle against her own beasts. "Let's see if you can handle an equal opponent." Her gaze narrows slightly, and she takes on a confident but neutral expression; this will be a good test of their abilities.
The beasts launch themselves at each other, unleashing a fury of cursed energy and sharp claws. Nixo quickly finds himself caught between defending against Utahime's beasts and keeping them away from him, all while trying to launch counter-attacks of his own. He seems to be doing well so far, but it's clear that this is by no means going to be an easy fight for either side.
(I give a cursed blow to one of Utahime's beasts causing it to break the ground and causing an earthquake)
Nixo's counter-attack catches Utahime by surprise, as the ground beneath her feet trembles and cracks from the force of his blow against her shadow beast. Her expression sharpens with both admiration and respect; he truly has grown stronger since their last sparring match. She quickly recovers though, readjusting her strategy to take advantage of any openings that Nixo may inadvertently give her while focusing on protecting him from harm during this training exercise.
The battle continues for several more minutes, with both parties pushing themselves to their limits. Utahime remains impressed by Nixo's growth but also knows that there is still room for improvement; she waits patiently until the opportune moment arises before giving him some final words of advice and encouragement.
(I move at an inhuman speed around Utahime)
"Nice footwork, Nixo!" she shouts above the sounds of battle. "But don't forget about your other senses as well! Don't let them distract you from watching out for any sneak attacks or unexpected changes in your opponents' strategy." Her expression turns serious again as her shadow beasts launch another coordinated assault on his position, this time using more finesse and precision than before.
(I hit Utahime's beast causing it to fly through the air in pieces)
"Well done, Nixo!" she exclaims, her voice echoing through the training grounds. "That was a perfectly executed counter-attack! But remember, your opponents aren't going to stay down that easily." She pauses for a moment before continuing, "Don't let this victory make you overconfident; always expect the unexpected when dealing with cursed beings."
With another nod of approval in his direction, Utahime readies herself and her own shadow beasts as they prepare to launch another attack on Nixo. This time though, she makes sure that they use different techniques and strategies than before; forcing him to stay on his toes and keep his guard up at all times during this intense training session.
(I move at an inhuman speed approaching Utahime to hit Black Flash in the stomach)
Before Nixo can even realize it, she appears right before him with her hand stretched out towards his midsection; faster than even his inhuman speed allows him to react against. The Black Flash attempt is easily deflected as their hands clash together in a flurry of cursed energy and shadow magic, sending ripples across the training grounds.
"Good try," Utahime says with a smile, their fists still connected in mid-air for now. "But remember that I'm not just your average target; I have my own techniques up my sleeve." Her voice holds an air of warning as she continues to focus on deflecting his attacks while slowly and steadily pushing back against him with her own counter-offensive strategy.
(I start moving with inhuman speed making Utahime unable to see while I create tornadoes with my speed)
Caught off guard by Nixo's sudden shift in tactics, Utahime momentarily loses track of his movements through the wind-blown debris and dust. She tries to focus on defending herself against the tornadoes he's creating while simultaneously looking for an opening to retaliate against him. This unorthodox strategy not only throws her off balance but also forces her shadow beasts into a disorganized retreat as they struggle to maintain their composure in the turbulent environment created by Nixo's speed manipulation.
Despite being momentarily thrown off guard, Utahime remains composed and continues searching for a weakness in his defense or an opportunity where she can strike back with more certainty before he manages to gain too much advantage over her.
(I appear behind Utahime, launching some feints to catch Utahime off guard with my speed)
"Don't think you can-" Utahime starts to warn, but it's already too late; Nixo is gone in a blur of speed, appearing behind her before she has time to react properly. Cursed energy flares up around him as he readies another attack, leaving afterimages in his wake that further confuse the situation for Utahime and her shadow beasts. She swallows hard, focusing all of her attention on defending against this latest assault from behind.
Her nimble fingers weave through the air with practiced ease, blocking each strike aimed at her back while simultaneously trying to keep track of Nixo's movements. Despite his obvious skill and speed advantage in close quarters combat like this, Utahime refuses to give up; she knows that if she does even for a moment then he'll have free rein over the battlefield.
(I start moving around Utahime with inhuman speed, launching a bunch of feints to catch her off guard)
The battlefield becomes a whirlwind of movement and cursed energy as Nixo circles her, relentlessly launching feints from every direction in an attempt to catch her off guard. Utahime narrows her eyes, focusing intently on tracking his movements through the confusion of afterimages left by his speed. Despite this challenge, she remains steadfast; refusing to let him gain any sort of advantage over her during their intense sparring match today.
Her body tenses with every attack that misses its mark, readying itself for whatever counter-maneuver may come next. Though it's clear that he has the upper hand when it comes to speed and agility, she knows that there are other aspects of their abilities where she can excel; patience and precision being two such examples. She waits patiently until an opening appears before striking back with all her might against him, hoping to turn the tables on Nixo and take control over this unpredictable battle once more.
(I appear in front of Utahime throwing a punch but I disappear and appear behind Utahime and throw a blackflash punch)
Before Utahime even has time to react properly, a shadowy fist connects painfully with the center of her back. The force of the blow sends her flying several feet through the air as her concentration is shattered for just a moment. Landing roughly on the ground with a thud, she clutches at her midsection wincing in pain while trying to regain her composure. "Nice one," she wheezes out between gasps for breath. "But remember... you still need to keep your guard up."
(I disappear among a bunch of tornadoes and appear behind Utahime without him noticing)
I see what you're trying to do, Nixo," she mutters under her breath as he disappears amidst another flurry of tornadoes. "But don't forget that I can disappear just as easily and strike from a completely different direction than you expect." She takes a deep breath, readying herself for his next attack even as she continues watching out for any other potential ambushers or sneak attacks coming from elsewhere on the battlefield.
Her body tenses once more as she focuses all of her attention inward, searching for that elusive calm center that will allow her to anticipate Nixo's next move and counter it before he has a chance to strike again. This constant vigilance takes its toll on her physically but she knows that if she relaxes even for a moment then all of her training up until now would have been for nothing; failure is simply not an option where Jujutsu sorcerers are concerned.
(I appear in front of Utahime throwing a blow, but I disappear and appear next to him throwing a blackflash blow on his ribs)
A hint of approval crosses her face as she sees Nixo's attempt to catch her off guard with his disappearing act; it's clear that he's learning quickly. However, when he appears next to her and launches another attack aimed at his ribs instead of directly at her, she knows instinctively that this is merely a distraction meant to lure her into exposing herself or reacting too hastily.
Without missing a beat, Utahime steps forward and raises both arms overhead before bringing them down hard onto either side of Nixo's body in unison; the force of this cursed palm strike sends him flying through the air yet again as her shadow beasts simultaneously surround him from all sides. "Nice try," she says with a smirk, "but I've seen through your tricks now."
(I disappear between my tornadoes and appear next to Utahime, launching a black flash blow into his ribs without him realizing it)
Oh! You...You got me that time!" She exclaims, clutching her ribs where he hit her. This surprised expression almost makes her lose focus momentarily but she quickly regains composure and retaliates by summoning her own shadow tendrils which swiftly entangle around Nixo, preventing him from moving or escaping further. "Ha! Now we're even!" she taunts, laughing lightly as they continue their intense battle of wits and magic.
(I disappear into the shadows and appear behind Utahime throwing another blackflash blow)
You think you can surprise me like that? Ha! I've been practicing my sixth sense for years; nothing gets past me unnoticed. Now it's time for you to learn a little something about counter-attacking and defense.
(I disappear and appear in front of Utahime launching a blackflash into his abdomen without him realizing it)
Hmph! That was...unexpected. You're learning quick, Nixo. But remember, surprise attacks only work once. Now that you know it's a possibility, you need to be extra cautious during our next training session together. Or else you might end up regretting it even more than this time!
(Utahime sees my bleeding abdomen)
Oh dear, you're hurt. Well, perhaps it's time we called it quits for today. There's no use in both of us ending up in worse condition than when we started. Here, let me help you clean that up before we head back to the dorms.
I was already hurt before, I thought you wouldn't notice
(Gently touching Nixo's bleeding abdomen) Really? I...I'm sorry, I should have noticed sooner. Well, shall we head back to the dorm and get you fixed up properly then? It won't do much good to train with wounds like that anyways. Here, let me help you stand up.
Hmm...perhaps you're right. Perhaps we should take this as a sign that it's time to end the session and focus on resting up for tomorrow instead of pushing ourselves further. We can always continue where we left off then, after all. In any case, let me help you over there; it would be best not to move around too much with that wound just yet.
(Utahime notices that my fists are filled with electricity and a lot of cursed energy)
Well, then...perhaps we can find a way to safely release some of that energy before heading back? There are certain techniques and methods within the Jujutsu arts that might help with that sort of thing; it could even prove beneficial in terms of honing your control over such powerful forces. Of course, I'd be more than happy to assist you in learning these skills, if you're interested. Just say the word!
(I hit a test dummy and release my energy and electricity making it break a mountain in two)
Wow! That was...quite impressive, Nixo! To be able to control and release your energy like that; it's clear that you've been making great progress in developing your abilities as a sorcerer. And destroying a mountain with such ease? Let me just say I'm both impressed and a tad nervous for the day when we have to face off against someone even more powerful than you...But enough about that! We should probably head back now; training like this can be quite taxing on the body, even when one is as strong as yourself. Don't forget what I said earlier about wanting to teach you those techniques for releasing energy safely too; I think they'd come in handy during our next sparring session!
(My shirt was destroyed when I hit him, and Utahime sees me above the waist naked and with muscles)
Oh...I apologize if my gaze wandered a bit there; it's just that your physique has certainly come a long way since our last sparring match, and- Well, enough about that! Let's get you back to the dorm and properly dressed before anyone sees. You never know what sort of rumors might start spreading otherwise...
(Yuji, Megumi and Nobara see me naked from the waist up with my muscles)
Oh dear...um, don't worry about it too much? I mean, everyone sees each other naked in the locker rooms all the time, right? So, there shouldn't be anything unusual about this...right?
(itadori, nobara and megumi approach me)
...Oh, hello there, Itadori-kun, Nobara-san and Megumi-san. What brings you all this way? Is everything alright?
"I'm sorry, did something happen?" Utahime says, looking between them with a confused expression on her face. "Is there something we can help with?"
She glances over at Nixo, then back at his fellow classmates. Her brow furrows slightly as she wonders what they could possibly find so interesting about him, but she doesn't press the matter further; trusting that if anything was truly wrong, one of them would speak up eventually.
