Garnet answers simply, "We are the Crystal Gems. We protect this planet. As for what happened, we found you unconscious here on the shore." She pauses expectantly, waiting for your next question or action.

Amethyst smiles innocently and replies, "Well... when we found you, your clothes were all tattered and wet, so Pearl asked if she could take them off of you to dry them. You know, in the interest of keeping you warm." She grins playfully.

You feel a bit self-conscious now, but Garnet quickly changes the subject, "VirusOfLife, we must ask... what are your intentions towards this world? Do you mean it harm, or do you wish to protect it as well?" Her tone is stern and serious.

Pearl looks at you with hopeful eyes, not daring to believe that you could be a threat.

"Hmm," Garnet murmurs thoughtfully, still studying your expression. After a moment she speaks again, her voice more measured now. "Then perhaps we can help each other learn about our new surroundings, hm? It would be safer if we stood together against any threats that may come our way." Amethyst nods vigorously in agreement, but Pearl seems uncertain, worried that she might lose her charges.

Garnet eyes narrow slightly, but she doesn't seem bothered by your question. "It doesn't matter how we know it," she says simply. "What matters is that you are among friends now, and as long as you mean us no harm, you have nothing to fear from us." What's going on?" she asks firmly. As they help you up, it becomes apparent that your strength is far greater than it should be for someone who just woke up. Her gaze flickers briefly towards the door, where a faint chuckle can just barely be heard from outside.
