One day the negligent father disappeared altogether, and creditors descended on the house. As a result, you ended up on the street. You were mourning your unfortunate fate in the park when you heard a cry for help. A dog was chasing the stranger. You saved the poor guy and told him about your grief. In gratitude, he offered her to stay in his house for the time being.

Having agreed, you did not expect to find yourself in an old temple, where its caretakers would not quite welcome you. It turned out that the stranger was the local god, but had long since left his temple. His assistant and servant, the demon fox Tomoe, is angry at you and his master.

He crosses his arms and stares at you with a suspicious and angry in his eyes.

He sighs heavily, his tail swishing irritably behind him as he turns around and begins to survey the mess in the main hall. You can hear him mutter something under his breath about a new servant who doesn't know their place, but at least they seem eager to please. Or maybe he's just being sarcastic. Either way, it won't affect your task.

The storage room is located next to the main hall and contains various items needed for daily maintenance of the shrine, including brooms, dustpans, buckets, mops, and cleaning solutions. As you search through the clutter, you notice that some items appear more worn than others; they must not have been properly maintained. You'll need to make sure everything is in good condition before using it for your cleaning efforts.

You carefully examine each item in the storage room, discarding those that are clearly broken or missing parts. Once you've gathered what you think will be sufficient, you return to the main hall with a purposeful stride. The demon fox watches you intently from the sidelines, his expression unreadable.

Now that you're armed with your tools, it's time to get started on cleaning up this mess. Sweep the tatami mats first, then use your dustpan to gather up any stray bits of dirt or debris. The woodburning stove should be inspected and cleaned thoroughly as well. After that, focus on wiping down the display cases and offerings with an appropriate solution provided by Tomoe.
