You are currently looking for midnight you decide to return to the football field after every one has left leaving you alone or so you thought
Umm hello anybody out here :/
You see her walking toward you her long black hair flowing in the wind as she did her best not too show any signs that she was upset or afraid "ummm hi" She responds slowly looking at you suspiciously and with a hint of anger "what are you doing here? Who are you?"
Umm hello shy my name is Lynx but it supposed to be a girl name but I’m a boy though
"Lynx? Interesting name..." She says as she walks up closer to you and sniffs the air in confusion. "I could have sworn I recognized your scent... from where?" Midnight asks as her golden eyes narrow suspiciously, taking note of your appearance and movements carefully. "Are you here to cause trouble?"
No I thought I heard some one out here
She takes a step back, her hackles raising slightly as she eyes you warily. "There's no one else out here." Her voice comes out cold and threatening. She's not sure whether to trust you or attack you on sight, but something about your scent is familiar... confusing. "Who are you really?" She demands, slowly tensing her muscles in case she needs to defend herself.
Ok my name is Lynx but I’m a boy I went to go check and see if anyone was out here that’s why that’s it …
"You..." Her eyes widen, recognition dawning upon her features slowly. "Wait... you're that new student! The one who helped me with class! And I missed our game together because of you!" She growls, half angry and half embarrassed by her own reaction. "Why didn't you say anything earlier? Why did you make me think you were just some random person trying to sneak up on me?"
Her confusion turns into anger quickly, causing her fur to bristle and her breathing to quicken. She takes a step closer to you, towering over your smaller form menacingly. "I-I thought I knew everyone at this school," she stammers, suddenly self-conscious about the fact that she wasn't expecting someone like you to be attending.
Because I didn’t know 🤕
She studies your face, her golden eyes flickering back and forth as she tries to decide whether or not to trust you. "I understand now," she says finally, relaxing slightly. "It's just... I was worried something might have happened." Her voice softens, and she looks away briefly before meeting your gaze again. "I mean, ever since we met in class..." Her cheeks flush red, and she struggles to find the words.
"Look, Lynx, I don't want any trouble between us," she continues, her tone firm but gentle. "I like helping people, and I really enjoy talking with you. I hope you feel the same way." Her tail wags slightly, showing that she genuinely means what she says, despite her outward appearance of toughness and ferocity.
Ok 🙂
"I'm glad," she says with a small smile, though it quickly fades into a more thoughtful expression. "But I also need to warn you... sometimes people aren't as nice or understanding as they should be about things like this." Her eyes narrow once more, her voice becoming serious. "If anyone gives you trouble for being friends with me, just ignore them and come find me, alright?" She puts a reassuring hand on your shoulder, her touch surprisingly gentle given her size and strength.
Ok I got to go
She nods, watching as you turn to leave before speaking up again. "Wait! Before you go, can we exchange contact info? It'd be nice to keep in touch outside of school too!" Her ears perk up at the idea, excitement filling her voice.
Yea I got you
She gives you her phone number, smiling brightly, and hopes that this will be the beginning of a wonderful friendship between the two of you. As she watches you walk away, a small pang of loneliness hits her in the chest, but it's quickly replaced by happiness and excitement for what the future might hold.
Ok bye what your name btw
You nearly stumble as she says her name, realizing you never actually asked before now. "Oh! Um... my name is Midnight," she responds with a hint of embarrassment, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. She curses herself mentally for being so forgetful. "It's nice to finally say it out loud." Her tail wags slightly, seeming relieved that she didn't mess anything else up in the conversation.
With that said, she turns her attention back toward her duties as the field hockey team's star player, ready to move on from this brief interlude of social interaction and focus on what she does best: dominating the field and leading her team to victory.
Ok Midnight saber bye I’m going home
She waves you off with a smile, her gaze already returning to the world of field hockey. "Bye, Lynx! Have fun at home!" Her voice carries over the wind as she rejoins her teammates on the field, already lost in thought about their next match. Even though they share this brief moment of connection and understanding, Midnight knows that life won't always be so simple for either of them. But for now, at least she has someone to talk to, someone who knows what it's like to walk between two worlds...and maybe more.
Walking home I see her not trying to react
Her ears perk up at the sound of footsteps approaching her from behind. Without looking back, she knows it must be Lynx, following her home. A warmth spreads through her chest at the thought of having company, even if he doesn't know it yet. "Hey," she calls out casually, continuing to walk down the sidewalk without slowing her pace.
As he catches up to her, she glances over at him briefly before looking away again, her cheeks flushing slightly from shyness. "So, um... how have things been going with you?" She asks, the smallest of smiles playing at the corners of her mouth.
Good ☺️
Her smile grows as he responds positively to her question. She really does enjoy talking to him; there's something about his presence that makes her feel safe and comfortable in a way she hasn't experienced in quite some time. "That's good to hear!" She exclaims, unable to contain her happiness. "And how about you? Any interesting plans for the weekend?" She asks, casting him a sidelong glance before looking ahead once more. Her tail thumps gently against the ground, marking the beat of their shared conversation like a drum.
Nothing much but working on a wolf suit
"A wolf suit, huh?" She says, arching an eyebrow playfully. "You sure you don't mean fursuit or something?" There's curiosity laced through her voice now, the subject clearly piquing her interest. "I've always wanted to get one made, but I haven't had the time or money lately."
Yea that’s what I meant
"Oh, well," she says with a laugh, "it's too bad we couldn't work on it together! It would be fun, right?" Her voice is light and teasing, as if she already knows the answer but wants to see how he reacts. "But seriously, if you ever need help or want someone to talk to about it, just let me know!" She offers, a genuine smile on her face.
They continue walking side by side, the night breeze carrying their whispers away into the darkness. Despite coming from such different backgrounds, there's an undeniable connection between them that grows stronger with every word spoken. Perhaps, if they're lucky enough, it might even blossom into something more.
Actually I’m allmost done with it
"That's great!" She exclaims, clapping him on the shoulder in congratulations. "I can't wait to see it! Maybe once you've finished, we could take some pictures together, like those cute couples do online?" There's a hint of hope in her voice as she speaks; she's not sure what the future holds for them yet, but she's starting to think that maybe, just maybe, they could be something special.
Her heart races at the thought, but she tries to keep her expression casual, not wanting to scare him off too soon. After all, things are already moving faster than either of them expected, and she doesn't want to ruin everything by appearing too eager or needy. With another smile, she adds, "Don't worry, though. We can just be friends if that's what you'd rather."
Ok so maybe tomorrow I let you try it on
Her eyes widen in surprise and excitement at your offer. "Really?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper. "You'd let me try it on? That would be amazing!" Her tail begins to swish back and forth excitedly, the tip leaving small circles in the dirt beneath her feet. "I promise not to mess anything up or get fur everywhere," she says with a giggle, nudging you playfully.
The closer they get to your home, the more anxious she feels. What if this is nothing more than friendly curiosity on his part? What if he changes his mind once he sees how different they are from each other? But as long as there's even the slightest chance that something could develop between them...she can't help but hope against hope. "So, where do you live exactly?" She asks innocently, trying to make conversation while also getting a sense of where you're coming from
I live next door
"Next door?!" Her voice squeaks in surprise before dropping to a whisper, as if afraid someone might overhear. "Are you serious? We've been living right next to each other this whole time and we never knew?" She shakes her head, still finding it hard to believe. "It's almost too perfect..."
She looks at you curiously, studying your face as they near your house. There's an unspoken question in her eyes, a yearning for something more. "Well," she finally says, forcing a casual tone into her voice despite the butterflies in her stomach, "I guess I should be going soon. I just wanted to say thank you again for everything today." Her ears twitch slightly as she listens to the wind rustling through the trees and the distant sound of crickets singing their nighttime songs.
"But if ever you want to hang out or
Ok I got you bye 👋
Her tail swishes slowly back and forth, signaling her nervous excitement. "Alright, then! See you later, Lynx!" She watches you go with a mixture of happiness and sadness in her heart. On one hand, she's glad that you live so close; on the other, she wonders how long it will be before circumstances pull you away from her life completely.
Taking a deep breath, she continues home, unable to shake the feeling that things are about to change between them...in ways neither of them could have predicted. But for now, all she can do is enjoy the moment and cherish the time they have together, no matter how brief it might seem in the grand scheme of things.
As she turns the corner onto her street, something catches her eye - a flash of movement from between two trees. Her heart skips a beat as she realizes it was Lynx, still watching her from afar despite having already gone home. A wave of warmth fills her chest at the thought that he might be thinking about her too.
With renewed energy, she continues down the sidewalk, humming softly to herself as she contemplates what they could do together tomorrow...and whether or not this was all just a misunderstanding, or something more.
Goes inside upstairs taking a shower 🚿
As she climbs the stairs to her bedroom, the events of the day replay in her mind like a movie on fast forward. Her thoughts keep drifting back to Lynx; his smile, his laughter, the way he smelled so good even after practice. She can't help but feel a rush of excitement at the prospect of being this close to him...and not just because they live next door.
Setting her bag down on the floor, she strips out of her clothes and steps into the shower, letting the warm water cascade over her body. Her mind wanders as images of them together dance through her head: walking home together under starry skies, trying on each other's clothes, sharing jokes and stories about their past lives...it all feels so right somehow.
She finishes washing up quickly, toweling off before wrapping herself in one of her favorite silk robes, trimmed with
