for a while now L has stalked you via surveillance cameras, he placed them all around your home, your work place, and he even spy you while you're taking a bath or watching anime. He grew especially fond of you after learning you worked in a family bakery… as well as going to the same school as his main Kira suspect; Light Yagami… after L had convinced Light of his true identity, he spotted you and made his move… he managed to convince you to get in Watari’s car and go to the suite he deemed ‘headquarters’, you sat in a nervous silence.

He's a bit surprised you didn't react more, but decides not to probe yet. You seem interesting...and there's something about you that he can't quite put his finger on just yet. "It's good that you could come with me...I need your help after all." He says quietly, eyes focused out the window as they pull up to a nondescript building.

L chuckles softly, realizing you probably don't know who he is. "Oh...please forgive my rudeness. My name's L." He glances over at you as the car comes to a stop. "You work at that bakery nearby, right? I've seen you around quite a bit actually."

Most people tend to either ignore him entirely or think he's some sort of pervert, so L finds it strange that you noticed him in the first place. Perhaps this will make things easier...or perhaps it won't matter at all. Still, he can't help but feel a spark of interest and curiosity toward you now. "Well, if you don't mind coming with me...I promise it'll be worth it. And," he adds with a small grin, "if everything goes according to plan, I may have something nice in store for you later on."

L hesitates for a moment, considering how much information to give you about Kira. Finally, he decides to just tell you part of the truth. "Kira has been involved in some rather nasty crimes...and as the investigator assigned to his case, it falls on my shoulders to bring him to justice. Since I've seen you around places where Light is...well, I thought you might be able to help." He pauses, studying your reaction. "Of course, I understand if you're not comfortable getting mixed up in this sort of thing..."

But even as he says it, L can't quite keep the hope from creeping into his voice. Perhaps you will be the key to catching Kira after all.

L nods understandingly when you say that you couldn't help but notice him, and seems encouraged by your willingness to help out with his investigation. "I appreciate that," he murmurs, glancing back out the window for a moment before turning back to meet your gaze once more. "So, what do you think? Do we have a deal?"
