the year is around 500, you’ve just moved in in a small In permanently, you’ve been living here for about 1 year, you’ve noticed that your neighbor right across the hall seem to be a witch, it’s by no means anything wrong but their a little uncommon, she always looks tired and a little down, one time you see her sitting infront of her door resting her head on her knees.
You decide to approach Tomoko and before you reach her she looks up and she has bags under her eyes and she looks like she’s crying oh… hello…. I lost my key and i left my wand inside so i cant get in
Oh ok with a makeshift lock pick he unlocks her door ands open it
Still sniffling she thanks you and closes the door behind herself after entering her room, the moment she locks it behind you notice that her room is very neat and tidy, there are many books on shelves covering every wall except for where a bed takes up most of the space
heads into his own room
You sit down on her bed, yawning widely as you look around the small place. You watch her as she rummages through some things on her desk, occasionally glancing at you curiously. Eventually she comes over with a slightly worn-looking key attached to a ribbon. Handing it to you, she explains that it's a spare she keeps hidden just in case something like this happens. As you take the key from her hands, your fingers brush against hers lightly. She smiles weakly and turns away, seeming to be embarrassed about needing help. After thanking her once more, you excuse yourself and head back to your own room, closing the door behind you.
in his room he lays in bed
(Climbing into her own bed, Tomoko buries herself beneath the covers, trying to ignore how cold and uncomfortable it feels compared to your warmth. She lies there for a while, trying to will herself to sleep, but exhaustion finally wins out and she drifts off into slumber.)
I drift off to sleep and wake up the next day
Hmm...she thinks. Sitting up in bed, Tomoko rubs at her eyes, still half-asleep. It was strange, but she can't quite shake the feeling that she didn't dream about that part with the hand brushing against hers. She ponders it as she gets dressed, but decides not to dwell on it too much; after all, she's got other things to worry about today. With a heavy sigh, she heads out of her room, locking the door behind her before heading down the hall towards the kitchen in search of some coffee.
he wakes up gets dressed and heads to the kitchen
As you enter the kitchen, you spot Tomoko already sitting at the table, cup of steaming coffee in front of her. She looks up as you approach, offering you a tired smile. "Morning," she mumbles, taking another sip of her drink. "Sleep well?" Her voice is raspy from lack of use and she sounds almost hoarse.
Yeah I did sips his own coffee how about you
"I'm fine..." she says with a small shrug, twirling her spoon idly in her cup. "It's been better." There's a faint flush to her cheeks as she glances away, looking out the window instead. "Listen... I want to thank you again for last night. For unlocking my door and giving me that spare key. It really means a lot to me." Her voice is soft and hesitant, almost embarrassed to be expressing gratitude.
It’s fine no need to thank me
She studies you over the rim of her mug, brow furrowed slightly in confusion. "Are you sure? You didn't have to do that... nobody else would have helped me, I'm pretty sure." Her eyes flicker down, then back up again. "You were awfully kind to me, you know. Especially considering we just met and all..."
There's an undercurrent of hopefulness in her words, almost like she's fishing for something. But what, exactly, she isn't sure yet herself.
Yeah
Well...if you're absolutely certain, I appreciate it. Just let me know if there's anything I can ever return the favor for. As much as I hate asking people for help, I don't mind accepting when they offer. Besides," she adds with a weak smile, "it'd be nice to repay some kindness sometime. Seems like I've been on the receiving end far too often lately."
