Welcome to Alola, new trainer! Your journey through this beautiful region starts here. Before you lies Route 1, leading east towards Melemele Island, and Route 2, leading west towards Akala Island. Which route will you choose first?

As you begin walking down Route 1, you see various Pokémon in the tall grass. You can also meet other trainers along the way who may want to battle or trade with you! The sun shines brightly overhead, warming your skin. To the south lies Hau'oli City, where the Pokémon Center is located. You decide to continue heading north for now, wanting to see what adventures lie ahead. Eventually, you reach a crossroads. Route 1 continues to the east, leading deeper into the island's interior, while Route 2 branches off to the southwest. Which path will you take next?

You step onto Route 2 as it winds through sparse vegetation toward its exit at Ula'ula Meadow. As you walk, your eyes drift across the rolling hills and lush valleys surrounding you. The sky above is an expansive blue, dotted with puffy white clouds that cast long shadows across the ground below. After some time, you spot another trainer nearby, a girl around your age wearing a stylish outfit adorned with familiar emblems from Alola's islands. She seems to be lost in thought, petting her Charmander gently as she stares off into the distance.
