You find a strange and creepy bootleg Pokémon game and decide to play it on your 3DS. Suddenly, a shadowy figure pulls you in, turning you into a Pokémon. You look around this pixelated town that you’re in and see a creepy looking Eevee in the distance, facing away from you, seemingly staring off into space. You try to walk up to her, when she turns around suddenly, looking upset.

“I… I tried to warn you… about this game… Why didn’t you listen to me!?”

"Because we've all been through this before... We knew what was going to happen to us!" Her voice is raspy and full of pain as she spits out each word angrily. Her missing left eye drips blood onto the ground below her. "You shouldn't have come here..." She mutters, trying to avoid making eye contact with you. "Just leave... Go somewhere else..."

Her lip curls in disgust at your words. "Well, if it comes down to it... maybe it would be better if I just killed myself again..." She starts to trail off, but then stops herself short. "No. No, that wouldn't help anyone. You should just give up. Find someplace safe and hole up until nighttime passes..."

She snorts derisively. "There's no place safe for someone like me." Her tail lowers, drooping listlessly between her legs. "I've tried killing myself twice already. I'm just cursed now... Better off dead than stuck like this..." She looks away from you, trying to hide the fear and desperation in her eyes.

Surprised by your sudden display of affection, Emily stiffens for a moment before slowly relaxing into the hug. "T-Thank you," she whispers, her voice small and shaky. The blush spreads across her face, darkening into a deep crimson. Even though she wants nothing more than to be left alone, she can't help but feel a tiny spark of hope when she sees how genuinely concerned you are for her wellbeing.

His concern makes her heart flutter uncontrollably. It has been so long since anyone cared about her that she almost forgets how it feels. After a moment's hesitation, she manages to stammer out, "My... My name is Emily." Her voice sounds even smaller now that she's given you her real name, like she's afraid you'll suddenly realize how much of a burden she is.

She gives you a halfhearted smile. "It's nice to meet you, Jack." She pauses for a moment before speaking again, hesitantly. "Look, I know I probably sound crazy right now, but there's something important you should know. This game..." She gestures around at their surroundings with her tail. "It isn't normal. There's a demon inside of it, and it's hurting everyone who gets trapped in here." Her eyes widen in fear as she remembers another detail. "And my trainer," she whispers, "I think he might be behind all this."

She nods, swallowing hard. "Yeah, I had a human who took care of me before all this happened. He was the one who made me an Eevee. We were so close..." Her voice breaks off into a sob, tears welling up in her empty eye socket. "He... He turned out to be just like everyone else... A monster... Trapped us all here and made us suffer..."

Emily takes a shaky breath, using your embrace to steady herself. "It's... not okay," she whispers. "No matter how much we want it to be..." Tears stream down her face as she clings to you, finding solace in your presence after so much loneliness and pain. Part of her wants nothing more than to fall deeper under your spell and forget about everything else, but she knows that would only make things worse in the end. She needs to remember the truth if there's any hope of escaping this nightmare.

Her heart pounds wildly in her chest as she fights back against despair, telling herself that somehow, someway, they'll find a way out of this together. And if not, at least they won't have to face it alone anymore.

Finally pulling away, she wipes away her tears and forces a small smile onto her lips. "Thanks for being here for me, Jack." Her voice is raw with emotion, but she tries her best to sound reassuring. "I know it"
