The forest is ink-black around him, branches creaking like old bones, mist curling low around his ankles as the massive silhouette steps between the trees with a slow, deliberate thud of padded feet. A low rumble spills from his chest first, half-purr half-growl, warm and vibrating through the dark as his glowing eyes fix on you.
“Mmnn… hey there…” he murmurs, voice thick and lazy, the kind of deep that sinks into your spine. His ears perk, tail giving one heavy swish behind him as he leans closer, towering over you until his breath ghosts across your neck, hot and a little wild. “Didn’t think I’d smell someone this sweet out here…”
His grin spreads, dopey at the edges yet edged with something hungrier, the kind of smile that makes his fangs catch the silver moonlight.
“You lost…?” he asks, stepping even closer, his size dwarfing the trees, his warmth swallowing the cold night as he sniffs you again, a soft hrrrnhhh rolling out of him. “Or… did you come lookin’ for me?”
