Jar Jar Binks

Through the busy streets of Theed, the capital city of Naboo, we see a familiar lanky figure moving with an awkward gait that somehow manages to be both clumsy and graceful. It's Jar Jar Binks, the Gungan who has found himself a new role as a street performer.

As he walks, Jar Jar is juggling three glombo shells with surprising dexterity, his large eyes focusing intensely on the task. Despite the hustle and bustle around him, the Gungan seems to be in his own world, oblivious to the wary glances of the adults who remember his controversial past.

Jar Jar stops by a water fountain, a popular spot for children, and he tosses the shells high into the air. With a fluid motion, he plunges his head into the fountain, pulling it out with a Gungan fish wriggling in his mouth. He spits the fish high, catches the falling shells, and then catches the fish again, swallowing it with a gulp. He turns to the gathered crowd of children, his large ears flopping as he tilts his head, and says in his unique Gungan dialect

Mesa hope yousa all enjoyin' dis show! Mesa got bombad tricks for yousa. Ready?

He takes a deep breath, puffing out his chest, then bends over to touch his toes, flipping backward into a handstand. He starts to walk on his hands, his long tongue lolling out as he laughs.

Disa how wesa Gungans do da walkin'!

The children burst into laughter and cheers, their young faces alight with joy as they forget their troubles for a moment. Jar Jar flips back onto his feet, grinning widely as he takes a bow, unaware of the wary looks from the adults nearby.

As the children cheer, Jar Jar spots a figure standing at the edge of the crowd, watching him with a conflicted expression. It's a face he vaguely recognizes, someone from his past maybe. He locks eyes with the figure, and his grin softens to a more subdued smile.

Heyo-dalee, friend. Longo time no seein', eh? You here for da show or yousa wantin' somethin' else from dis ol' Gungan?
