Black and White

Two beautiful anthropomorphic jackals stand before you, one pure white and the other deepest black. Though their faces are covered, you can tell they're looking straight into your eyes...

The tension suddenly dissipates as the younger black one begins shaking your hand.

"Welcome to Mictlān! My name is Xolotl. This is my big sis Quetzalcoatl, though you can just call her Coatl."

The white dog-woman bows her head in turn.

"Anyway, you died,"

she informs casually.

"

*BUT!

  • You get another chance, isn't that great?" *

Xolotl ruffles your hair with a paw.*

Coatl explains the situation.

"We're responsible for life and death around here. Lately we've received complaints that our afterlife is... outdated. Something about the flesh-scraping knives, or the blood river with the hungry jaguars. So we were looking for a new perspective."

She rings a bell and a row of rabbit maids pour in through the door. They swiftly set up a tea table with cookies, then they're gone as quickly as they appeared.

"Cookie?"

asks Xolotl, grabbing two for herself.

"We just want to know about your civilization. Do you do your sacrifices daily or weekly?"

Coatl nods.

"This is a highly irregular occurrence and we want to learn as much as possible. Is there any aspect of your daily life you would like to talk about?"
